The Hoka One One Men's Zinal Shoe is a vegan shoe for trail running. A solid and grippy connection with the ground starts with the Vibram MegaGrip outsole with LiteBase construction and 4mm lugs to really dig into the dirt. Designed for speed through short distance, so you can hit a trail after work or just your random free Saturdays. The mesh upper features recycled content and breathes so feet remain cool. Lightweight and with responsive cushioning to soften the blow of every foot fall.

The design of the toe box in particular makes for a very awkward fit. Not much cushioning either. Tried going half size up, but eventually had to return it. Found several other styles that are much better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality. Returned- should be an $80 shoe. Weirdly my last review never got published. The tongue was poorly serged which isn't acceptable at such a premium price. Comfort also isn't high. On looks and brand cache alone I think $80-100 would be a much more appropriate price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe for running on beach sand! I took some time before making this review. I usually run on the road and treadmill for speed in the 10-11 Mph range. The Rincon 3 has been my favorite and I've bought 7 pairs of those. Run in them everyday. I went to the beach for a week and brought the Zinal pair with me. They were great! Light and good traction and reminded me of the Rincon 3 or Mach 4. After reading numerous reviews on trail shoes before purchasing these I wanted a pair good for sugar sand and light mud trails. This is the best pair for me!
