Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:

Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

The Staika 2 Person Tent by Hilleberg. Because of its Kerlon 1800 outer tent material, 10 mm poles and completely free standing design, the Staika excels on any journey where absolute strength is the highest priority, and where terrain could create difficult pitching conditions. Easy to pitch and fully able to handle heavy snow loading, the Staika will serve admirably in both exposed and/or above tree line and protected terrain, year 'round, in any and all weather conditions. And thanks to its spacious two door/two vestibule design and excellent static strength, it makes a superb base camp tent, where users will leave the tent unattended for extended periods of time.
The Staika is all about simple - but simple does not by any means equate to "sparse." Easy to pitch, immensely stable, remarkably spacious, and quite light, the Staika is an excellent "go to" tent for any use where sturdy strength is the high priority. Hilleberg originally designed the Staika for paddle tourers, who wanted a highly stable, fully free standing tent for handling tricky pitching conditions. Since then, it has garnered a large, loyal following amongst a wide assortment of other adventurers: mountaineers, polar travelers, and ski tourers find it a supremely stable base camp tent in all conditions; bicycle tourers love its simplicity and completely free standing construction; and even regular backpackers find great comfort in its roominess and relatively light weight as well as in its strength and stability.

Hilleberg Black Label Tents
Hilleberg's most versatile tents, Black Label models will handle any terrain or weather condition, from the mildest to the most demanding. Their simplicity, ease of use, and comfort make them perfect not only for any trip in any season, but also for general use in less challenging situations, and for less experienced users. Their strength, stability, and roominess, meanwhile, make them the best choice for long term, demanding, all season use in the harshest conditions – exposed and/or above tree line terrain, continuous heavy snow conditions, high-grit environments like deserts, beaches, and playas, and the like. Their extra durability increases longevity, and reduces the risk of problems, especially on longer adventures in remote areas, where repair opportunities may be limited.

Hilleberg Staika 2 person black lable tent in reenThis It's a excellent tent. It's a black label model with the 1800 kerlon material and 10mm poles. Free standing. It has plenty of room , two entrances and vestibules. The aerodynamics are pretty good. I've had it in 60mph winds of no iissue. Reasonably compact which is handy doing RTW motorcycle travel. There is a lifetime guarantee which I won't even worry about. Hillberg and Moosejaw are great to deal with.

Dry!Easy to set up, sturdy and well made, but best of all, dry. The double layers mean I never wake up to condensation or ice coating the inside of my tent. Nice!

Great quality and features, typical Hilleberg. This is my fourth Hilleberg and it does not disappoint. I still own and use the other three for specific outings. I bought the Staika primarily for canoe trips (freestanding a definite plus) and those times when my wife is with me (roominess and two entrance vestibules). If I'm going solo backpacking I'll opt for either the Nallo 2 or Soulo because the Staika is rather heavy (but still doable). I also find, because I'm getting older, the Staika is a little easier to get in and out of compared to my Nammatj 2. The Staika is expensive but if your perceived need and desire is to own one tent that will withstand any weather situation, barring tornadoes or hurricanes, this is worth the investment.

In need of an up dateOverall, a stout tent. A bit too heavy. Needs rain gutter over the doors like the Allak. At this price, it should absolutely come with the foot print

Completely free standingI have used this tent twice so far in Alaska. In the fall, setting it up at night in a steady rain, and while snowshoeing with a snowstorm rolling in; heavy gusty winds each time. Tent went up easily, working around the dome raising the walls evenly, the inner tent stayed bone dry. Guyed out all the tie outs. Walls gusted with the wind, but the poles and tent were rock solid. Plenty of room for two with full winter gear. Integral vestibules are great feature to not worry about staking out or coming loose in the night, and had room for storage and to cook. While snowdrift did get into one vestibule, the inner door zippers allowed access to the gear without snow getting into inner tent. Ventilation worked well, but the top flap small hooks can be a bit of a challenge when cold. Yeah, you are toting a 4 season tent, but the weight is comparable to any other out there. When you are listening to the wind howl, it is good to know you have a strong tent. Only downside so far is drying out afterwards. You either have to set it up, or move around the inner and outer tent fabrics. Not as easy as a typical detached fly tent.

Excellent tentI haven’t had this tent for very long and I’ve only slept in it about 8 times, but it’s been through rain and wind and I have no complaints so far. The rain fly keeps the interior dry and on windy days it’s solid. The ventilation is ample and everything about it is well thought out. I plan to use this for some winter camping and I have complete confidence in this tent.

Taj Mahal of TentsIf camping in the Taj Mahal sounds appealing, then consider investing in a Hilleberg tent. With a tear-strength of 8x the average ripstop nylon tent, and innovations like zipper locks, linked inner and outer tent and footprint help distance the Staika from the competition. The tent is a breeze to erect, with the 1800 Kerlon nylon coated on both sides. This 4-season, 2-man shelter has stellar ventilation, is supremely durable and has a design an architect would covet. Check the Staika out, you will be hooked.
What are the pack size dimensions when packed up.
I ride a motorcyle and the pack length is critical.

What are the inside dimensions of this tent?
Asked by: Thomas
Great question! The internal dimensions (in inches) are 90L x 55W x 41H. If you are curious, the vestibule extends 31 inches off both long sides.
Hope that helps!
