The Hilleberg Anjan 2 Person Tent is a lightweight 3-season backpacking shelter. The tunnel design is super strong and sturdy in high winds, and it provides a spacious interior for two camping partners. A vent in the rear teams up with the full mesh door for optimal pass-through ventilation, and the fly creates a vestibule in the front for gear storage. You can keep the rainfly and inner tent linked for lightning fast setup or even ditch the inner tent for an ultralight single wall pitching option.

FEATURES of the Hilleberg Anjan 2 Person Tent

  • Kerlon 1000 outer tent fabric and 9mm poles make this tent lightweight and strong
  • Built in ventilation and no backing fabric panels on inner tent mesh areas
  • Tunnel construction offers maximum space to weight ratio
  • Linked but separable inner and outer tent for simultaneous pitching
  • Single entrance and vestibule for easy access and low weight

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight yet durable and roomy During my 2-month hiatus from circumnavigating the USA on my bicycle, I decided to seek out a lighter weight, more compact and more breathable tent to takeover for the Hilleberg Soulo I had used for 180 days on this trip. The Soulo is fantastic and is still at 100%, but is overkill for bicycle touring in warm weather. So I went to the Hilleberg website and discovered that the Anjan had been redesigned to enable the outer tent to offer better rain protection, and the poles and sleeves now enable one-side insertion and simplifies that process. (A must in tight spaces.) When I bought the Soulo, another consideration was the strength and durability of the Kerlon 1200 fabric, but now I know the Kerlon 1000 of the Anjan will be just fine for whatever I throw at it in 3-season use. Another reason I ordered the Anjan is roominess. While the Soulo is awesome and designed for efficient space in the cold, it is close in there during hot summer nights or rainy days. The Anjan offers more room and better ventilation in those instances. What struck me most when I received the Anjan, was the light weight! Under 4 lbs for a 2-man Hilleberg! A full 1.5 lbs lighter than the Soulo. As far as quality construction is concerned, I checked the stitching on each and every seam, and only found one tiny errant thread. (I’ll never understand how a person can handle sewing that slippery Kerlon fabric.) Having dealt with Hilleberg’s customer service person (Shannon) in the past, I am confident that they truly care about any concerns I may have down the road, and I look forward to a long-term relationship with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Swiss design! As you’d expect from the Swiss, this tent is an engineering marvel - one or two piece, whichever you want depending on season. A great choice!

Hello. I was wondering what type of material the floor is made of. Is it an impermeable tub? My concern is, given that ALL lower edges now have a catenary cut, will the now exposed floor, at either side, be susceptible to wicking in direct rain fall?

Asked by: Radulf
Thanks for the question! The floor is a "bathtub" style and it is waterproof. The material is a triple coated nylon. Since it is a 3-season tent it will not come all the way to the ground. With that being said the Anjan has been redesigned so the fabric now comes all the way down to the corners for more protection. Also, there is now a flap that covers the outer zipper. There will be condensation that will gather on the outer side and may drip into your vestibule. I would suggest keeping your pack & boots under there with a pack cover on top. It really comes down between features and weight. A 3-season tent will only protect from so much sand and snow. If you think you will need more than that, then it would be best to go with the Nallo 2. I included a link below. Sorry for such a lengthy answer! https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Hilleberg-Nallo-2-Person-Tent_10101453_10208_10000001_-1_
