Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.

Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Just What I WantedSo glad I bought this bag. I’m super short (5 ft) and I love how this bag has an adjustable torso feature. It allows me to get a really custom fit from the bag and makes sure all the straps hit at just the right spot. It’s also super comfy. The BioSync technology is uses ensures the bag moves with your body. I was concerned that at 16L it might not be too small, but it fits my windbreaker, sweatshirt, first aid kit, water, snacks, lunch, phone, wallet, and keys just fine.

Love the pack but the hip pockets a bit too smallI love my Maya 16. It is the most comfortable pack that I’ve ever used. I love everything about it except one thing….. the hip pockets are a bit small for my phone. My friend has an older model and the hip pockets are a bit bigger and accommodate my iPhone with its Otter phone case easily. Oh well, I’ll just find a different way to carry my phone so that it is easily accessible to take pictures.

Been looking for this exact bag!!Love this back pack. It’s just the right weight and size, with trekking pole holders! Colors are great, so many details on this bag that just really works. You can tell a hiker co-designed this bag. You can see it from the number of straps, adjustable back straps, the pockets on the hip strap, the internal pockets, etc!!

Great backpackI bought a version of this backpack about 10 years ago and I loved it. Unfortunately, it wore out. The new version is an improved version of the old: its a good size for a day hike, has a lot of pockets and its adjustable. I love it.

Love the adjustable torso lengthI have a Juno 25 and love it, but it was a little big for summer day hikes. I decided to get the Maya 16 and it is the perfect volume. One thing that I didn't know was a feature that I would love is the adjustable back panel. I have never been professionally sized for a pack but my best tries at home put me at around 17". I am also taller and have a bigger frame than the average woman. With the Jade pack, even though I am within the size range, sometimes I feel like I'm compromising between where the hip strap goes and not having the shoulder strap buckles in my armpits. Adjusting the back panel on this pack solved that issue and it fits much better! I think this adjustable panel should be a standard feature on all of your one-size daypacks. Love all of the pockets and the meridian teal is a really cool color (my first choice of Mercury Gray was sold out). Comfortable and not too hot on the back, just like the Jade. Another solid pack from Gregory!

Great features and comfortI have had the Maya 16 for a couple of years now and absolutely love it. I was looking for a day pack that would be comfortable. One of my friends recommended the Maya 16. The size is perfect for a day hike and it is very comfortable. The only thing that I think can be improved is some more sturdy material for the exterior base of the pack. It seems to pill and get damaged on rough surfaces like when you might be scrambling up rocks. However I would still highly recommend the pack and plan on buying a second one.

Love the design, fit is good, but quality unevenI was looking for a nice, sturdy daypack for short to all-day hikes, and Maya 16 seemed to fit the bill well. I like all the pockets, the design of the fit, and the sternum and hip buckle straps to help distribute the weight. The extra expansion on the pocket is also great for extra layers. The color is also a plus. I also like that the back pocket for the reservoir works very well. I noticed that the side pockets for water bottles is a bit small, although it can fit a standard Nalgene. Unfortunately, after one day of use, the loop attachments on the shoulder strap (can be used to strap in the water reservoir tube) started detaching and fraying, so it seems the quality of the backpack construction and the sewing is uneven.
What size hydration bladder will this bag accomodate?
Asked by: AMFLY
Hey there! When using this pack, the space for a bladder is between the back panel and the pack itself. It's stored externally. That means any size bladder should work for you. Huzzah!

Is this an internal frame backpack? I am looking for a day pack that has a stiff back, like the Sierra Design Rohn 15. Any recommendations?
Asked by: Rebecca
Hey Rebecca,
This is a frameless pack. For a daypack with a frame, I personally really like the Osprey Sirrus and Deuter Speed Lite series, though the best pack for you would depend on the individual features that you value/require the most.

My hydration pack is about 17" long. Will it fit in the external access hydration space in this daypack? Thanks!
Asked by: bluelady
Hey Bluelady! Thanks for asking. Yes, your hydration bladder should fit inside the external access space. It's about 20" deep.

Going on safari need a back pack for my SLR camera water bottle and may be some snacks my camera will have a protective skin on it can't chose between osprey daylite maya16 or maya10 I am 5"10 if that makes a diiference
Asked by: Dr mom
Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out to us. To start, the Gregory Maya packs are specialized for women. They are both the same except for the pack capacity. The Maya 10 is a 10L pack, and the Maya 16 is 16L. The Osprey Daylite is in-between, at 13L.The packs have similar features and are just over 1lb in weight and can hold up to 20 lbs. I think all packs would be sufficient in size for a water bottle, snacks, and camera. One difference to consider is that the Osprey Daylite has an outside, side compartment for a water bottle. I'd definitely recommend trying on the pack(s) before buying, if you are able, to see which one fits the best. Have fun on Safari!
Gregory backpacking packs are available in a size range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of each size of a pack. The steps below are a guide for measuring your torso size.
The hipbelts on Gregory backpacking packs are adjustable to fit a range of sizes. A simple rule of thumb is that the ideal distance between the ends of the hipbelt pads after tightening should be 3 to 5 inches. However, the most important criteria are that the hipbelt wraps clear over the side of your body and that it rests 1 inch above your iliac crest. This allows proper load transfer to your skeletal structure, which maximizes comfort and minimizes energy expenditure.
HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE 1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.
2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.
3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
