The Gregory Denali 100 Pack is a gear hauler for expeditions into harsh, technical terrain. The pack isn't just about loads of space, as it focuses on comfortably carrying heavy loads via the FusionFlex Pro suspension system. The fabrics used to construct the pack are puncture- and abrasion-resistant for battling winter-y environments from snow to ice. When necessary, the aluminum frame stays, top lid, bivy pad and hipbelt are all removable, or you can just lash on additional gear with the multiple gear loops available on the outside so you're prepped for any situation. At this point they're almost required equipment on packs these days, but ice axe attachments are there when needed, stowable when not and an internal hydration sleeve is ready to house your water bladder away from the rest of your gear. Load up and head out into the alpine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worthy of Denali!! This is the pack you want for expedition travel over snow, ice and glaciers. I had this pack up on Denali in Alaska on a 23 day climbing expedition. My team consisted of 9 people and four of us carried this pack. It held up great for the abuse it took. No tears anywhere and the zippers stayed intact the whole time. Reading the other review about the Denali makes me wonder as I had no problems with the pack and will use it again next year while climbing Denali. I love the bells and whistles of the pack. Meaning it has lots of storage, easy to get to compartments and ample pockets. The hip belt is key with great support and very comfortable. I carried up to 80 pounds in this pack while pulling my sled with up to 75 pounds of gear at times. There are no sled loops but that did not matter as I looped the sled ties around the lower frame. Never had any problem. The pack is heavy but that is expected in a 100 liter pack. This is and will be go to expedition pack and will be on me as I try to scale the highest peaks across the world.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent Pack, Could be better. Good pack, but needs improvements. Pulk loops and belt have held up great, but the shoulder straps are falling apart after 140ish miles of sled pulling/expedition use. Not impressed for this price. Improve the shoulder strap quality, and make them wider so they don't dig in as much. Use heaver duty zippers on critical areas. I've had the main zipper on the main compartment derail a few times. This could be a super bomber pack, Im up here in Alaska and will be taking it to a local shop to have them fix it up and Alaska proof it. Ironic since they named this pack the "Denali"

Gregory Men's Packs

Gregory backpacking packs are available in a size range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of each size of a pack. The steps below are a guide for measuring your torso size.

The hipbelts on Gregory backpacking packs are adjustable to fit a range of sizes. A simple rule of thumb is that the ideal distance between the ends of the hipbelt pads after tightening should be 3 to 5 inches. However, the most important criteria are that the hipbelt wraps clear over the side of your body and that it rests 1 inch above your iliac crest. This allows proper load transfer to your skeletal structure, which maximizes comfort and minimizes energy expenditure.

1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
