Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery failed 1 year after purchase. Battery failed 1 year after purchase, goal zero would not replace it per warranty restrictions. It worked marvelously until that point. I wont be another goal zero product again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sherpa Failed Less Than 18-months After Purchase I have purchased multiple Goal Zero products (Yeti 400, 4 Boulder 50s) and this Sherpa 50 in late 2015 / early 2016. I use the Yeti and Boulders on a regular basis for tailgating, camping, etc. These two products work phenomenally and I've never had an issue. However, I've had the Sherpa 50 with inverter since early 2016 and since then the unit has been nothing but problems. Initially I purchased the item to give an additional charge to my MacBook Air and iPhone when I was off the grid. The first time I used it, it only charged the MacBook Air about 1/2 way and I got about 1-2 charges off the unit. Needless to say I was disappointed in the underperforming charge of this product. I would make sure that I properly charged the unit and used the inverter properly. Still, I could not get more of a charge. This past August 2017, I went to use the unit and there was no charge in the unit. After trying to re-charge the unit (which I accomplished two-weeks prior with a full charge), the unit would not hold a charge. Disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Short life Sherpa 50 works well in many ways. The huge disadvantage is the swift drop in life/capacity. First it dropped down to charging up to 80%, this spring 2017. After the summer only 40%. I think it ought be more robust in this sense.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Kit! I use this product to charge my RC's at events. And I left it to charge at our booth at the end of the day and came back in the morning and the solar panel was soaking wet from the morning dew and the Sherpa 50 was Damp as well. but once the sun came up and came out it started charging again. what a excellent product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont count on it I bought the Serpa 50 and Nomad 13 panel a couple of years ago for an upcoming trip, that was canceled. I also bought 3 of the lantern lights to work with it. This went unused for a year or so and I took it out and plugged in to charge. It wouldn't hold a charge, even thought the indicator read 80% or full. Now it wont even power the lights with it plugged into house current. A fair amount of money spent, with absolutely nothing to show for it. Since all the plugs are proprietary, I can't even use the lights with another power source.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Sherpa 50!!!! I use this guy at camping and backpacking. Very handy to use for many purposes for my tablet, camera, lighting, and cell. I couldn't live without it. Sherpa 100 is nice, but I don't need that much watts per night. 50 watts is plenty for me for what I use.
