Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing is worth every penny! I bought this for my mother in law along with the Lighthouse Lantern when Hurricane Maria happened in Puerto Rico (we begged her to come stay with us and she wouldn't). She is a 72 year old woman that has no interest in technology, so I opened it up, and put post its everywhere to show her how to use it. The two together kept her cell phone charged so we could call her, and enough light to move around at night. I don't know what she would have done without them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good but not perfect First off, thanks GZ for promptly replacing a defective panel while I was in the middle of my trip. Your customer service was 10/10. So how did the panel perform? I have owned the previous 2 models and I think this one has improved output. Even with slight overcast I could still charge up my phone. However, with clear skies and at full output my phone and also GPS randomly stop charging and then restart charging a second later. It continues this way in a loop every couple minutes. I have to unplug my phone for a few seconds to get it out of that loop. But my GPS always does this behavior no matter what. Design wise I like it... Lightweight.. Nice mounting points.. Folding to protect the panels from being scratched. The hinge is a little too strong though, i usually have to prop it agaisnt a rock to prevent it from closing up. Anyways it got me through my trip, but the connected/disconnected charge loop was irritating. Sometimes simpler technology works better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good design, weak power output I was very happy to receive this device couple of days ago. Unfortunately, seems the producer overestimated the power output of the device. I was able to see about 3W maximum.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working after a few weeks Initially, the solar panel worked as expected and charged pretty quickly my devices. However, after a few weeks of normal use (never been exposed to rain, ice, snow, cold temperature, burning sun) it stopped charging my devices. The cellphone would still recognize that it was connected, but the batter level would slowly decrease rather than increase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy with this product. I bought my Nomad 7 Plus about a week ago, and even in direct, wide open sunlight, I can't get above one bar. Unless these positive reviews are from paid reviewers, I don't know how their's are working and mine is not. Pretty much this product is a piece of junk. I'm writing this from a campground laundry room with a wall mount. 8% in 5 minutes, not 3 hours.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stoped working after a few weeks I have the nomad 7plus and I have been using it to directly charge my phone since only four months in Europe. I was so excited to see it worked so well! However, it suddenly stoped working... The panel looks almost new, and did not receive any rain. Here are the symptoms: When I open it, the three first blue lights rapidly flash three times. The phone recognize there is power pluged in but does not charge at all. It does the same thing if I am under burning sunlight or under clouds. I am very dissapointed, especially since it is not sold as a cheap solar pannel on the market. It is even more dissapointig to have it stop working when I am far away from home. It would really be sad to throw it away, especially since it would be going to the opposite of my and the company's values and goals. If anyone else has had this problem please help me, thank you in advance! Élie

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stopped Working Bought this before a bike trip back in May 2017. Tested it at home before going on the trip and it worked quite well charging my phone and the flip battery. On the trip it just stopped working. Tested it again at home and still does not work. Will be returning this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the Green idea but.... Bought the 7 for a long drive to recharge my iPhone 6 and/or IPad Pro. Less than a minute in full sunlight (no clouds at all) and it stopped charging with a dialogue box on my phone expressing incompatibility. Numerous attempts gave the same results. I'm returning it for now.

Hello Annette, thanks for your question. The Nomad 7 charges both Samsung Galaxy smart phones as well as iPhones. It has a USB output, which can be connected to any USB compatible smart phone charger cable. Hope this helps!
