Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great This is my first fitness device/GPS watch. Have only used for a couple of weeks but so far it works great. Great battery life. Great features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Watch I've been really impressed with this watch! Battery life is impressive (42% remaining after 10 days without a charge in spite of daily run/cycling). The customizability is impressive and the sports tracking features are without fault. The only minor complaint I have is that I can't get the indoor cycling mode to detect my trainer's power meter (Kinetic inRide). I think this may be more to do with the Kurt/Kinetic platform, but it is a minor disappointment. Fantastic otherwise and no issues with connections to other external devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy it again if I have to w/o hesitation! This watch is the most complete watch currently sold in the market. A lot of features for triathletes. Doesn't worth it if you just run however.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Always room for improvement but Sooo Nice. I got back in to running about a year ago and had been using my Apple watch (original version). It worked ok but I kept accidently swiping it to stop mid run and loosing data. Could I have taken the time to figure out the lock features or try a different app, yes. But then I signed up for a triathlon for this June, so I got the 935. I LOVE IT. My favorite thing is using it in the pool. I loose count of laps but so far it hasn't. It doesn't track lengths during kick drills but who wants to do that many kick lengths. I have used it while running on the treadmill and it has a calibration feature so you can adjust the distance to match the what the treadmill says you ran. I have used it outside for runs and it is great. You have to take some time to master the menu system to really use this watch right. I haven't done this yet. I need to figure out how to do a quick lap increment when treadmill running for time trials but otherwise basic use has been obvious enough that I haven't read a manual or anything. The heart rate monitor works well and it is nice to have the option not to put a strap on. I haven't tried the straps (didn't buy them to start). The only thing I miss from wearing my apple watch day in and day out is the voice to text ability. I am sure I can work around it. All in all a good watch. Not to big and lighter than my Apple watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it Does everything it sets out to do! Highly impressed with the features of the 935. First order from Moosejaw and very happy with customer service and shipping time, oh and the reward points made this the best deal after shopping around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent choice for serious athletes Upgraded from a Garmin Fenix 2 to the Forerunner 935. What won me over was definitely the smaller form factor, added GLONASS, and the wrist based heart rate monitor. In principle, the most important training metrics (pace/speed, distance, power, etc.) for swim, bike, run have stayed the same and there is no added benefit from upgrading. The smart watch features are nice, but I don't really use them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gets better and better!!! I've been using this for about 3 weeks. I'm training for a marathon and the diagnostics this provides just gets better and better. Garmin also has a great resource section to help you understand the readings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from top notch This is my first heart rate monitor and comparing all of them, this had all the feature I wanted. I purchased it a month ago and it works great, HR monitor is spot-on. I bought the chest strap with it and the read out for HR is really quick, makes it very easy to do interval training. I am very happy with it.

When swimming in open water, will this watch display the distance in miles or is it like all the other Garmins and only displays yards or meters?

Asked by: Robert
Hey Robert! The Forerunner 35 can indeed have the display set to miles. You would choose the GPS mode of tracking and be sure to allow for "GPS soak" before beginning. You can change the units of measure to display miles vs kilometers. Be sure to have your Garmin Connect app synced properly, too!

Can this watch track gym workouts also?

Asked by: Maggie
Hiya Maggie, thanks for your question! Other than the indoor versions of run, bike and swim (pool swim), it can also track indoor rowing, strength training and generic cardio. Hope this helps!
