Rated 4 out of 5 by from Need to remember to start the timer The Edge 130 is replacing a 7 year old Edge 500. The 130 linked up the heart rate monitor and speed / cadence sensors right away on both of my bikes. Navigating through the setup screens can be an issue as is remembering to start / restart the timer. These issues are more about a 72 year old operator than the Edge 130.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Edge 130 I’ve enjoyed the computer. I do wish the buttons were touch screen. Other than that it’s great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Value for the Price First and foremost the battery life is so much better than my old Garmin 520. It quickly and consistently picks up my sensors for heart rate and cadence. And it is much faster in reporting the current gradient of my climbs. I like the small size of the computer and much prefer the simple buttons to a touch screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little package I have never been one for a ton of features because I think it takes away from the simple joy of cycling. This computer allows me to get everything I want to out of a ride and more. I love using it and it is so easy to use. The only bad thing is that you can't syn up with Google maps directly. I would get one again in a heart beat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I miss my Edge 500......... I bought this from reviews and my bike shop recommendation. I find it way behind my Edge 500. The only reason I bought the 130 was the 500 didn't sync with my computer any more. Too much to figure out simple things in 130. Haven't figured out how to have 5 fields, manual doesn't really give you enough to make it easy. Timer doesn't stop when I stop, which gives me incorrect timing. Too many things to go over now..........as I said, I wish my 500 kept going, it's all I needed and was simple to run and set up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid product if you know what your buying The 130 works great for all the basic things a "normal" person might by a cycling computer for. It tracks rides and upload pretty easy. I have not paired my heart rate monitor yet but without that feature battery life is great and standby life is pretty good as well. The computer navigation is okay, no major complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect little GPS enabled cycle computer I wanted a small, easy to use, GPS cycle computer and the Edge 130 is perfect. Programming it was very intuitive and I managed to do so without use of an instruction manual. It tracks all of my rides on multiple bikes and its easy to download the tracks into Garminconnect to see where I've been, vertical elveation gains, speeds, and a picture of my route. My bikes are equipped with speed sensors and its fairly easy to make the transition to using that sensor to the basic functions of distance, time, and speed even without a GPS lock on. Battery life is good but not great. In my experience I can ride about 100 miles or so on one charge. It will take a quick charge from a portable power pack to get you back on the road.
