Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm durable and stylish! Big fan of Fjallraven quality and design and sure wasn't disappointed with this purchase. Jacket well built with excellent down, trim and overall construction. Its durable but yet on point with tapered fit and faux fur trim on hood. Be advised it does run about 1-2 sizes small, especially in the hips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really warm and well-made. Great coat! Incredibly warm and stops the wind, and stylish. Runs a bit narrow in the shoulders. Love everything about it (just a bit expensive is all).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket in Alaska I bought this jacket few weeks ago for my trip to Alaska in December. This jacket was extremely warm and I only need to wear a sweater inside of this jacket in Alaska. I am 163cm and 110lbs so S is just fine for me (but I still recommend M if you want to be more loose since this jacket runs a little bit small).

Would "water-resistant" be enough for winter weather in New York?

Asked by: ashley
Hiya Ashley, thanks for your question! Water resistant usually means that a garment has a DWR (durable water repellent) exterior finish that repels moisture and stays dry in light snow or rain. A DWR finish should be adequate for normal winter weather in New York, but not necessarily for a heavy winter storm. For extra protection, you can treat it with Greenland Wax. Hope this helps!

Can you tell me what the fill power of the down is in this coat? Also, what are the main differences between the Singi Down Jacket and the Kyla Parka? Thanks!

Asked by: Elizabeth
Hiya Elizabeth, thanks for your question! Both jackets have 500 down fill. The main differences are in the length and fit. The Singi Jacket is hip length while the Kyla Parka is thigh length. The Kyla has a regular fit and the Singi has a relaxed fit to layer underneath. Hope this helps!

What's the temperature range to wear this jacket?

Asked by: Juka
Hey Juka! Controversial question. If you are a person that runs hot, for example, this jacket will work for you down to possibly single digits. What kind of activity will you be doing? Walking a city block or trekking with a pack on your back? All of that affects the inherent warmth factor of a coat and how it performs for each individual. I always start off comparing some known features with previous jackets I have owned. If there are similarities, I know kind of what to expect. As for this jacket, when I wore it, it was ok in the upper 20's when I had a thermal weight base layer and flannel shirt. I was not toasty warm in the single digits here in Michigan, though. When I had to wait outside a building for 5 or so minutes, I was getting chilled. But, that happens to me often. You might be better off hopping on chat and having a rep help you compare jackets in real time!

The length in pic looks longer than arm length or hip length.  What is the drop from waist to bottom, in inches, please?

Asked by: Dolores
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! Y'know, out of ALL the hundreds and hundreds of jackets we sell....this is one of them. So, I pulled this up from the warehouse, got out my handy, dandy measuring tape and I got all the specs! From the back, from the drawcord waist to the edge of the garment is 17.5". And, just in case you wanted it, the full back length, from where the hood attaches to the edge is 32". Hope this helps you out! Hugsies.

Hi! Is this jacket warmer than the Nuuk Parka? Also, how would these compare with Canada Goose? Thanks!

Asked by: Victoria
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! The old 'warmer' question....almost impossible to answer, but I'll try! So, for the most part, jackets are not temperature rated because there are several factors that affect the temp. This includes wind, humidity, activity level....not to mention the fact that warmth is a subjective thing. That is, it's unique to every person. What's warm to me might be freezing to another. BUT, have no fear...while there is no industry standard for measuring the temperature of the jacket, we can still help you out! The best indicator will be to check out the insulation. For the Singi, the insulation will be 80% Goose down and 20% Feather, which is very good at keeping warmth in. Now, for the Nuuk, that's going to be filled with Supreme Microloft, which is 100% polyester. Not quite as good for keeping warmth. I would wager the Singi would be your best bet. For Canada Goose, you'll want to do the same: check out the insulation, and how much there is of it! Hope this helps you out. Hugsies!!

RAW INSEAM: If it says in the Product Description that the pants have a Raw Inseam Length of 34", it means those particular pants do not automatically come hemmed, and that the full inseam length is 34" prior to that being done. Pants with a Raw Inseam Length are great because you can have them hemmed to fit you perfectly, but that is your responsibility to have done.

FIXED INSEAM: If the Product Description says that these pants have a Fixed Inseam Length of 34", it means that these pants already come hemmed. So if you're lazy, like me, you won't have to do anything with these when you get them. Except put them on, of course.
