Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and functional Awesome jacket, stylish, functional, and excellent quality. Bought the black version and it is really deep, solid black. Plenty of pockets, and nicely rain repellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Uncommon style and construction This jacket is a great buy and I can tell it's going to last for a long time due to the quality. Also, it stands out in design and comments and compliments are commonplace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and versatile I love the style and quality. My only very minor gripe is that while it's very nice that there's a draw cord for the waist and one for the hem, the draw cords are basically thick yarn-type strings tied into a loop on each end for you to pull on -- I wish they used actual cord locks instead on the ends of the draw cords. For what it's worth, I had to order a size down for a better fit. I think these jackets are designed to be roomier for you to layer (if you want to) underneath. I am on the slimmer side though. Sleeves are also longer than I usually like, even after ordering a size down. Having said all that, this is now my go to jacket because it looks very nice and because it's pretty versatile for the weather we have in the Pacific Northwest. It's not an insulated jacket, but it's perfect for wearing on top of layers as a windbreaker/water resistant shell for the mild (but wet) winter days out here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Exactly the kind of jacket I was looking for. I am 6'4" and about 180 lbs and the large fits great (not too boxy). The jacket has no insulation so it will likely need a fleece under it for winter but great in spring and fall. Awesome coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great field jacket. If you already know and love the quality and style of Fjallraven products, there is not much more I need to add about the Raven jacket. I am 5'8" and 150lbs and a small is almost perfect for me. I prefer a slimmer fit, and in my experience, most of Fjallraven clothing runs a bit larger than I'm used to (pants/jackets). Despite that, this is yet another great product that is incredibly durable and perfect for moderate fall day temps or sub-freezing temps with a few layers underneath. So far, I'm very satisfied.

What is the sleeve length for each of the sizes? I'm 6'8" 180 lbs, so I need to know whether sizing up or down would be more beneficial.

Asked by: dhsjxhdk77
Hiya dhsjxhdk77, thanks for your question! Based on your description, I assume that you usually don't wear sizes XS, Small or 2XL... but you know what they say about assuming things ;) If you need the sleeve lengths for those sizes, let me know. In the meantime, here are the sleeve measurements for Medium, Large and XL: M - 35" L - 36" XL - 37" (The length is measured from the middle of the back, following the arm to the cuff.) Hope this helps!

Hello, I am seeking a spring/cool summer night/ fall travel jacket. The pockets, water resistance, and look of the Raven seems great, but I’m worried about being too warm. Would this work? Do you have any other recommendations? Thank you for your help!

Asked by: Jvss
Thanks for the question! I actually have this Jacket in the Winter version - so you have come to the right place! I think the Raven is actually perfect for the conditions you described. If you were considering the Raven Winter (the one I have), then I would say you would for sure be too warm. Have you checked out the Travellers Jacket? Not to sound too obvious, but that Jacket was intended for that exact purpose - going to new places with different weather conditions. It is made from same G-1000® Eco as the Raven, just lighter. It is also 65 % Polyester, 35 % Cotton - which is also the same as the Raven. The main differences are that the Travellers has 4 exterior pockets, a fixed hood that can be stored in the collar, detachable security pocket, and lastly it is packable. I included a link below. Both are great options and will last a long time. I hope this info helps! https://bit.ly/2Lk9Qxi

How's the coloring on these jackets match up with the photos? I'm interested in the green but other photos on line show it much lighter.

Asked by: ThisGuy
Thanks for the question! I grabbed one of the Raven Jackets from our warehouse. I agree that the Green option is much lighter in person. I would say it is a lighter Olive Green or Military Green with a Hunter Green hood. The image online is def much darker than the jacket actually is. Sorry for the confusion! Hope this helps a little!
