Extra ventilation zippers along the calves

I am a loose pants hiker, so these aren't for me. I tried my size and two sizes larger. With my size it was like wearing yoga pants. With two sizes larger, my butt cheeks were still squeezed together while I could just about fit a fist inside the beltline. (I'm an athletic, not weight-lifter, average sized US 5'10" male.) They are well made, of solid material, but I am not about having things rub while on a long walk. It would be great if they built a pair of brush breaking pants that fit looser.

They were comfortable, stretchy, vented and also just warm enough with a base layer to make it through an average November in Michigan. All of the G-1000 is in all the right locations to keep brush and briars from scratching up my sensitive skin.

Then decided to have the normal version too. Fits true to size (all my Fjallraven pants are 56 long) and very stretchy material with good leg protection

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ipromisetoloseweight from Better than expected I was concerned about how it will fit me since I am a bit overweight, I was also concerned about how the fabric will feel. I am 5 11" , 235 got 52 short (30 inch inseam) because I wear them at the hip and the fit is excellent and the feel is great. Planning to buy a second pair very soon.

HOW to MEASURE
WAIST: Measure around the natural part of the waist, often the narrowest part of the waist just above the belly button.

SEAT: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest point of the hips and seat.
