Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Best jacket everI bought the jacket towards the end of season, but have gotten the chance to wear it multiple times now. It is incredibly warm and the G-1000 outer is tough as nails. I am sure this jacket is going to last at least 10 years. The simple look is aesthetically pleasing and exactly what I was looking for. This is a no frills jacket with only what you need. I do not recommend this jacket for high exertion activities, since it is not that breathable, but for normal use in the winter. Such as walking around, shoveling snow, or any other outside activities that require warmth and ruggedness.

Stylish and durableOverall, this is a good-looking, stylish, and durable jacket. The 95% of duck down is really outstanding for today, and one can hardly find such insulation elsewhere. However, one should keep in mind that in terms of warming, this jacket is much closer to small packable down jackets. So I would not recommend it for the freezing temperatures. Also, its simplicity and retro design also bring along a lot of shortcomings that we have already forgotten with modern technical jackets.
The biggest disappointment is the side pockets. They are badly missing a fleece lining. Given they are located in front of the down insulation, all you have between your hands and cold weather is the “thin red line” of the canvas. The snap buttons are cool, but zips would be much more secure for the items in pockets. Chest pockets are more of a piece of design than any practical stuff. The inner zip pocket works well. But what kind of religion prevents Fjallraven from sewing in a big mesh inner pocket on the other side? I have no clue.
As for the fit, the jacket runs true to size; however, there can be issues with the length of the sleeves. They may feel a little bit longer in your typical size. Once again, the retro-style cuffs with just two position adjustments by snap buttons give you a little flexibility. But that is not a big deal.
In general, the conclusion is, if you see a good discount, grab it.

Love the jacket!Bought this a few weeks ago but I have to say this will be my go to jacket from now on where ever I go as long as it’s not somewhere that rains 24/7. Love that it has down insulation yet has a tough exterior that will last for years which is something I value lately. Wore it as much as I can since I had it and it keeps me warm in 45-50 degrees weather with just a long sleeve underneath. Yet to try it under colder conditions since I live in Bay Area but I think it will keep me warm. Lastly, love the look and design especially the leather trim gives it a nice touch instead of a single solid color jacket which you can barely distinguish the design. Excited to use it on my upcoming trips!

Great jacketThis jacket is very well made. It is warm, super comfortable, and very lightweight. I've worn in in 15 degree weather and have been comfortable. Anything below that will need a long sleeve shirt or other thermal layer. The pockets are not insulated sadly and are not very warm. That's the reason for 4 stars. If you have some light gloves you'll be fine. Other than that this is one of the most comfortable and high quality jackets I have had and I'd reccomend it to anyone.

B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l JacketThis jacket is absolutely beautiful. Fantastic quality. Super warm too. I ended up returning because it was too warm for me. Took it for a dog walk at 38 and windy and I was sweating profusely when I was done. It's only flaw is that it's not real breathable.

Classic for a reason. (Well, more than one.)First off: I am 6’1” 230 lbs. Size XL fits perfectly (though might be snug with a bulky sweater—a thinner thermal layer is fine). Morning walks in the woods with the dog in sub-30° temps with only a t-shirt underneath are perfectly comfortable.
I’m impressed by the quality of materials and construction. I fully expect to get some life out of this jacket.

About as perfect as you can getI have a jacket problem. I have every kind you could imagine; Carhartt, Kuhl, NorthFace, Patagonia, prana, Arcteryx. Decided to try it out because I was reading that they are the only brand that has refused to move to gortrx and their wax application methods have been used for hundreds of years. Not to mention the actual company being around since the 60s. Like most people reading this you have scoured YouTube videos and review pages and I did the same. For the amount t of money it’s a significant investment and after owning this for a few days now I can say the build quality is beyond any other jacket I have. Obviously time will tell if it holds up but based on thousands of reviews and videos, should hold fine. The stitching and material are high quality for sure. No mistakes or lazy work. The feel and weight give it the jacket a real purpose. Some of the other jackets I have you have to pick and choose where and when you wear it. This feels like you can wear it in a war torn jungle or a nice day in the city. I’m going to sell the rest of my jackets immediately.

Fits well.Wanted to get something than the usual fare sold in America. I am 5'8" 160 pounds and the MEDIUM size fits well, just a bit long in the sleeve, but, if you fully extend your arms the cuffs align with the wrist, as it should be. No back tightness when the arm are extended. I live on a wind swept hill in the Chicago area and this jacket passed the wind test; I also like how well fitting the hood is and how its designed so you don't look like the hunchback of Notre Dame when it is down. The quality of the fit and finish is on par with the price of the garment. I feel this jacket could last me 10 years.
Does this jacket have side pockets? My understanding is that older versions of this jacket don't have side pockets, and newer ones do, but I can't tell which version this is.

On the Fjallraven site it says this jacket is insulated with 800 CUIN down. Here at Moosejaw it says 600 cuin.
Is this the same jacket?
Asked by: Crowell
Hi Crowell, thanks for your question! These sale options are all past years' models that employed a little less insulation, 600 cu in is correct. I hope this helps!

Where is it made?
Asked by: William
Hey William, good question! Double checked with our folks back in our warehouse, turns out this jacket was made in Vietnam. I hope this helps!
FJALLRAVEN FIT NOTES All you need is a tape measure! Ask a friend to take your measurements while standing in a straight and relaxed position without shoes. Remember that the tape measure should not be pulled too tight around the body but not be too loose either.
Avoid bulky clothes For the most accurate result, you should be measured wearing only your undergarments or close-fitting clothing, for example, a base layer. It's not a good idea to measure yourself wearing jeans, sweaters or other bulky clothing.
HOW to MEASURE ARM LENGTH: Bend the elbow slightly, then measure from the centre back of the neck, over the shoulder to the elbow, and down to the wrist.
CHEST: Measure straight under your arms around your body at the fullest part of your chest.
WAIST: Measure around your waist at the narrowest part.
SEAT: Standing with your feet hip-width apart, measure around your hips at the widest part.
