Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket and even better customer service! This is a great looking jacket - something different from Canada Goose. Very well made and warm. The sizing is a little tricky - I am 5 11 and 210, the medium was a little too small so I needed to exchange for a large. Moosejaw made a mistake in processing the exchange and promptly addressed the problem in a first class manner - this is an extraordinary company that deserves your business!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, my favorite jacket of all time I am so glad I got this jacket. It is extremely warm and stylish. I have only had it a couple of weeks, but in that time we have had temperatures around 5 degrees. It performed very well. As for the styling, it is one.od the reasons I chose this jacket. Very old school look. The quality is top notch as well. My only complaint is the zipper. I took the advice of another of the reviews and pulled down on the right side and it worked just fine. It just takes a little bit to get used to the two-way zipper. I was a little bit apprehensive of the price, but am extremely happy with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good I live in Chicago and bought this jacket to be my daily winter wearer (I have a larger down coat for the occasional deep freeze). It is a nice alternative to Canada Goose which has become too common for my taste. Keep in mind the sizes run large (buy a size down from your normal size). My only complaint is the pockets which are not placed in a natural and comfortable locations for storing your hands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish and warm jacket for any winter activity I purchased this jacket to go on a 3 day backpacking trip this Winter and I have to say I am very impressed with the quality of the jacket. I got caught in a pretty decent downpour of snow the first day on my trip and this jacket kept me very warm and dry in temps hovering at just over 10F. In fact, it kept me so warm that at times I got too hot and had to unzip the jacket and my TNF fleece underneath to cool off for a bit! I was so amazed that a jacket could keep me this warm in such cold conditions. And to my surprise, without adding any of the water repellent Greenland wax, the jacket kept me dry all weekend long. I had to downsize one full size to fit me accordingly. I normally wear a Mens large and medium in this jacket was just right. I only have a couple small gripes about the jacket. First off, the zipper SUCKS. It gets stuck when zipping up ALL THE TIME. So frustrating for such an expensive jacket. The key is to pull down on the right hand side of the jacket to keep it as straight as possible and it will zip with no problems, but still very disappointed in that. Apart from the zipper, the inside pocket felt a bit cheap. It's very thin and flaps around inside, it's not stitched to the inner wall of the jacket. Again.. Small gripes, the jacket overall is still very awesome and I definitely recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect Jacket Like most others said, the jackets run big. I'm 6'1", 180 lbs and I purchased the medium. I live in the North East and have only worn it once due to the unusual mild weather this time of year but I loved the jacket. The medium fit me well. A tad big but perfect when I wear a thicker layer underneath. The only thing I would like is for the hand pockets to be angled a bit more as they are currently at a 90 degree angle which can make things fall out easily but the front pockets are big enough to hold things. Overall very happy with the purchase and I recommend this jacket if you want to stay warm and comfortable while being stylish in the winter. Way worth spending half of what you would have with a Canada goose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth every penny I love this jacket so very much. At first I was scared to death about pulling the trigger on something so expensive without being able to try it on, but after reading some reviews saying it's best to downsize I nailed the right size! I am 6' 3" weighing in around 170lbs. with a slim/average build. The Medium size fits me perfectly. The arms stop right at the start of my palms, the bottom of the jacket ends right at the very bottom of my bum, and for someone with an average build, it has just enough room for a fleece sweater underneath. Granted if I had a more muscular or just bigger build overall I'm sure I could still fit the jacket, but with less room for layering underneath. Pros: - Very warm. I can wear this thing in 35-40 degree weather with just a tshirt underneath and I stay very warm. I'm sure you could wear this down to the 20s before needing a baselayer. - Pretty water/wind resistant. In light rain, water seemed to just roll right off the fabric. I haven't tried it in a downpour or in snowy conditions yet though, just light rain/drizzle. If it isn't waterproof enough for you, you can always apply the Greenland wax to it. The jacket zips all the way up to my chin so it's pretty good at keeping the wind out as well. - Very stylish. One of the main reasons I opted for this jacket over other brands. Fit and finish is great, and I especially love the faux leather patch on the side with their logo on it! - Lot's of pockets! There's 5 pockets on this jacket and they're all pretty big so you can really carry a lot of gear with you. 4 outer pockets and 1 inner. The outer pockets are all secured by 2 push buttons. The openings are closer towards the ends of the flaps so as not to let water through the folds of the flaps. Cons: - Hood is kind of small for such a big jacket. I have a pretty big head and a long-ish neck so this may attribute to it, but the hood barely has room for a small beanie underneath. In fact, it's on the shorter side so it pulls down on my head ever so slightly. Not that big of a deal for me, more of a minor gripe if anything. - Zipper isn't the smoothest operating zipper for the price tag. You would think they'd put a nicer zipper on it. The fly almost looks plastic, but I'm not entirely sure. Some quick measurements I made to help better understand the fit: Arms (measured from under the armpit to the ends): ~19.5in. Torso (measured from top of the shoulders to the end): ~30in. Hood (measured from top of the shoulders to top of hood): ~12in. Hood (from front opening to the back): ~9.5in. Hope this helps any potential buyers! I love the jacket so much!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant heating machine I am 6'2" and the Large fits perfect: sleeves, bottom are long enough. Plenty of down insulation even in the hood makes this jacket to a heating machine. The outer material is the strongest I have ever met, still flexible and soft enough to be comfortable. Four front pockets and one inner. Love it! ,,,,Try the Fjallraven Byron hat too. Excellent!

Please include jacket length and sleeve length in description. I have found "true Fit" to be extremely unreliable on your site and others sites. Always too large. "Hip" Length on someone 6'3'' is different than someone 5'8"

Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! The size guides found in the drop-down menus of available sizes found on our apparel pages on our site are from each specific brand. You can compare your chest and waist measurements against their measurements to help choose the best suggested fit for you. This is intended as a suggested fit because not every look/model is best suited for every body type. So sorry for any convenience.

Hi. Can you tell me if the Greenland Down Jacket will fit the same as the standard (non-insulated) Greenland Jacket, or is it cut a bit larger? Thanks!

Asked by: Jimbo
Awesome question Jimbo! I just took it upon myself to conduct this experiment for all of humankind, here are my findings. The Greenland Down Jacket is cut just a bit bigger, but this is just to make room for the down fill. When you actually put them on; the feel, wear and fit of both jackets are extremely similar, with the exception of the added warmth from the down option, of course. Hope this helps!
