Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for riding and general use I bought these to ride in but because I dropped something on my toe and couldn't wear my usual tight vans these ended up being my daily's for a couple of months and have been well and truely worn off the bike! They have excellent grip on roofs and I can't see any signs of wear to the soles (vans waffle would start to round off at the heals by now). The grip: excellent. This is how a shoe should feel on the pedals. Like a skate shoe but better. Feel: you can feel almost as much through the sole as skate shoes but it doesn't bend as much. Fit: true to the size chart. Got the right ones first time. Every review says these are wide but they are not. If you take out the foot bed it is the exact shape of a vans foot bed. The toe box is actually a little narrow if you get them fitting more closely by going off the size chart. The toe box has more depth than standard shoes but this actually makes the shoe more comfortable so the stiff part isn't pressed against your toes. I can wear them all day now with no discomfort, but they did take a couple of weeks to break in. Laces are excellent and grip super well when you tie them, but you do need to tuck your chain side lace into itself. Ankle area is super supportive and your heels lock in nicely (would love to try high tops if they ever make them again). Overall very happy so far after 4 months.

HOW to MEASURE
FOOT MEASUREMENT: Place a piece of paper on the floor, against a wall. Place your heel against the wall / on the edge of the paper and mark where your longest toe ends. Repeat this step with the other foot. Take the LONGER of the two foot measurements and refer to the size guide above to help determine your Five Ten shoe size. Please note the Foot Measurement info above is provided in centimeters.
