Rated 5 out of 5 by from best backcountry sleep ever! My husband and I bought this to upgrade our backpacking sleeping situation for a week long trip to Glacier Nat. Park. It folds down to smaller than one backpacking sleeping bag and is much cushier than our old self inflating mats. We didn't feel the ground at all! It got down to 34 some nights of our trip, and this kept us insulated and cozy. The Schnozzle bag is amazing! only a few pumps in each side and you're set to go! Could you live without it? Probably. Do I want to? NO!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have for couples Gets rid of the dreaded “cold” spot when your two single sleeping pad separate in the middle of the night. The duo pad LW is wide enough for two and a dog!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmest two-person mat around This thing keeps a small tent so much warmer than two separate mats, especially when paired with thin foam underneath. No more rolling off the mat in the middle of the night or having water bottles/electronics inside your sleeping bag fall over the edge to freeze. Separate fill valves for each side are also nice for comfort and some insurance. Not quite as warm as any of their downmat series (which is my only gripe), but it works well down to about 0deg F, especially with 1/4" foam underneath. Anything colder and you need heavier foam (like a z-lite). Durability seems on-par with other non-hyperlite exped mats. I.E. it won't break for years unless you leave it overfilled with cold air in the sun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pad but it the LW is HUGE go with the M Was looking for a duo/dual pad my wife and I can use with our Enlightened Equipment Accomplice quilt. This pad is awesome. We now have a sleeping system that is half the weight of what we used to carry and much more comfortable. Its like sleeping on our bed at home with a down comforter. This pad is light considering you get 4 season R5 warmth from it. Packs up in the bottomw of my pack very nicely. We use a Big Agnes Copperspur UL2 and our Subaru Outback for trips and the M size fits great in both. I had to return the LW (long wide) version because its 10" wider but only 3 inches longer. Note the LW DID NOT fit in the Copperspur. Take a look at my pics below for reference size comparisons between the two versions. I'm 6'1 and the M was just long enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some cons, but it's also in a class by itself This is the warmest, largest relatively lightweight air mattress that I know of. At R5, it's the only two person lightweight air mattress I know of with such a rating. The largest one, which is the one I demo'd at home, was nearly as large as my queen mattress. It's ENORMOUS. That's also one reason I decided not to keep it, but if you need that much room and that much insulation for sub-freezing temperatures in as light of a package as possible, then this is the mattress for you. It's awesome that the pump bag comes with it, and it makes inflating the mattress not so bad at all. My only complaint is the bag is very slippery and hard to control while compressing it. Perhaps more work on my technique would have fixed that. Watch the demo videos again and watch how the Exped rep does it and copy him. I didn't do that. I liked another pad better for my intended purposes so I didn't go that far. The other nitpick was the valves. This pad actually has TWO ports now, even though the reviews and pictures all show one. One is a quick open blow off valve, like Big Agnes talks about on their reviews, and the other is the inflation and fine tuning valve shown in the Exped videos that CAN also double as a blow off deflation valve if you pull on the green "tail" and invert the flap so it sticks open. I'm guessing people couldn't figure that out so Exped added the second "valve"? I guess I don't know if I got an old one and the second port was deleted, or a new one and the second port was added, but I'm guessing the latter. The last nit pick is that the tubular baffles were not as comfortable as the BA quilted type baffles, even when partially deflated for comfort. I know, I would have had a really hard time believing that also, until I tried it myself. I was watching a review and the Sea to Summit is actually the most comfortable air mattress and it's design is similar to the Big Agnes. I thought there was some other factor coming into play but it turns out I agree with them. The tubes are just not as comfortable. The mattress was a little difficult to deflate and I had a really hard time getting it back in the stuff bag but I was able to get it in there. I'm pretty darn good at repacking gear in thier original containers so if you're not good at that, it's something you better note, or resolve to get much better at if you want this mattress going back into it's stuff sack. It's a tight squeeze.

The dimensions listed show 20.5 and 25.6 inches width for the medium vs wide; can you verify if this is the 2-person mat or a standard sized pad? Either the product listing/image or dimensions are reported incorrectly.
