Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy, warm Comfortable, warm and easy! First, the 3.5" thickness cushion is amazing, I love it. As a side sleeper, I don't touch the ground at my hip at all. It's warm. I am a small lightweight and often cold person, so I'm using this even in warm weather. Slept in about 50s and was comfy and not too hot. The blow-up bag system works beautifully, you just have to make sure you are not stopping up the air flow at the bend of the bag into the air channel into the bag, but that's easy enough to figure out. I'm very slightly worried about it getting a leak, but I am going to take care as much as possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent craft Very warm and cozy down mat. Versatile bag for pumping the mat can be used as a dry bag or even shower bag! Finally, I was pleasantly surprised by the small size of the packaged product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the Holy Grail of UL Pads I looked for a pad to replace my old one for almost a year. Every week or so when I had a few extra hours, I would browse through countless reviews and specs until I landed on this guy. And I think it paid off. This pad is just so so amazing. It ticks off pretty much all of the specifications I was looking for. -It’s not noisy. The down insulation in this pad is much more easy on the ears than the crinkly, tinfoily, space-blanket style insulation that other folks use. -It’s ridiculously warm. I mean, arctic-style warmth, with hardly any weight penalty. I feel confident that I could take this to some of the coldest locations in the world and be happy with just a closed-cell foam pad underneath. -It’s light. So so so light. There are pads with basically no insulation that weigh just as much or MORE than this pad. -Air doesn’t escape slowly through the night. Exped has taken care to seal the seems in a way that makes this thing more airtight than any other air pad I’ve used. I hate going to bed, and on the back of my mind, wonder if the pad will stay inflated fully until the morning. With this pad, I have no concern. I just feel like I’m sleeping in my bed. -The valve is good quality. The peice inside the valve that keeps air in even when the cap is open (I don’t know what that’s called) is much much better quality than some of the cheap ones I’ve seen used. This small peice can make a huge difference, and with this pad, I’m not concerned with it breaking. -I like the air pump that it comes with. At first, using the pump compared to blowing up a pad seemed like a net-negative. But using a pump is actually beneficial for any airpad, even if it doesn’t have duck or goose down inside, because the moisture from our breath will essentailly *stay* in that pad for a very long time, causing mold and deterioration, which you may have to breath in every time you blow it up. Ultimately, I think the pump, though it requires a little bit of work, isn’t as much work as huffing and puffing to blow up the pad by mouth, which is really nice after a long hike into the alpine where the air is thin and you’re out of breath, and the thought of denying yourself even more air by blowing into a pad is exhausting. -This pad is four inches thick, which means that when sleeping on your side, you won’t even come close to touching the ground. I would say that the negatives of this pad are -it probably shouldn’t be used in summer, though I haven’t tried it in warm conditions yet, and I’ve read that some people have used it in summer just fine... but some also say that it’s too warm. -There are some lighter pads available, but I’m confident that there’s nothing as light that also has a R value of seven, like this pad. -Because of the down, you must must store this pad partially inflated. I keep mine just a little inflated and bent in half inside of my closet. I’ve still mangaged to have enough room for it even though my apartment is tiny.
