Rewards Program Terms and Conditions

Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:

All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.

All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.

The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.

Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:

You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.

Earning MJ$:

All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).

Checking & Redeeming MJ$:

On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.

Bonus Rewards Promotions:

Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!

MJ$ on Gift Cards:

You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.

Product Returns and MJ$:

If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.

Program Abuse:

The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Camper Sue from Mine is about 48 years old and still in great shap I bought my two person Timberline about 48 years ago. I used it frequently for the first 20 years. I could put it up in less than 5 minutes in a thunderstorm ( glad I practiced at home). It served me well on many camping trips in Ontario, and the maritime provinces as well in the USA. I bought the vestibule after the first year. Don't hesitate to buy both. It has been in storage for at least 15 years. I set it up last summer to waterproof it (seams, fly and floor) for my sister to use. I figured it deserved a little attention after all those years. No tears, holes or signs of wear on the tent, screens or vestibule and the zippers still work well. I used the fly for a winter cat shelter one year, so it has a couple of small holes that I patched last summer. Truly an amazing little tent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Monty from One of my all time favorite tents I have a 2 man and a 4 man Timberline and they are by far my longest lasting (45+ years, yep), easiest to set up, tents that I have. The only care I've given to them is to apply waterproofing on the floor and the fly seams after 20 years. Back in the day they were my go-to backpacking tents but now we're all using something lighter. You can't go wrong with having a Timberline, I've had two inches of water surrounding it in a campground in Germany and everything was bone dry inside while everyone else was soaked around me. I've got the fly extension and I've always wanted the vestibule just to try out cooking in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RC from Great Tent That Lasts I bought my tent in 1996 as a Scout and have used it all over the U.S. to this day! It's a great tent that has stood the test of time and my abuse. If you're looking for a great, light, easy setup and teardown tent, I highly recommend this one. It's great for backpacking as well.

The zippers have finally given out and not really repairable. RIP. But I got over 50 years of great camping and backpacking out of this tent. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ernie from North to Alaska I bought the Timberline 2 way back in April of 1980. I was living in Huntington Beach, Calif. at the time and was getting gear together to hitchhike to Alaska. For some reason, my sister, her boyfriend and myself drove all the way out to Riverside, Calif to a well known sporting goods store to make the purchase. I tested the tent in the store and found it to be superior in quality and it already had a great reputation among outdoors people at the time. I took it back to Huntington Beach and assembled my gear and finally took off hitching. This tent saw the eruption of Mt. St. Helens as it spewed ash everywhere as I was passing North on Interstate 5. It saw many nights in B.C. Canada and then in the Yukon. At last, I reached Fairbanks, Alaska and lived in the Eureka Timberline 2 as I traveled all over Alaska. I spent 3 nights in Denali Park at the base of Mt. McKinley(as it was known then) somewhere just shy of Turtle Mt. It was a grand place to camp as the Mt. was out the entire time and I lost sleep sitting in the Timberline as the Mt was just too beautiful in the salmon colored alpenglow to not take my eyes off of it. Later, in heavy rainstorms near McCarthy, hail and lots of rain proved the stability of the tent. Mosquitoes were abundant and the tent performed flawlessly in keeping them from driving me crazy. I slept in the tent comfortably as I tried my hand at panning for gold and later traded that gold for a 1/2 Wolf 1/2 husky dog I named Taku. He was a keeper as was the Eureka Timberline 2 tent. It is and was definitely "Old School" but It will always hold a cherished place in my memories of being a reliable travel home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jim1950 from A great design! II bought my 2 man Timberline in the late 1970s, and it has been a wonderful tent, that is easy to erect and take down, and has never let me down. I have the ceiling storage hammock, and the vestibule, and would recommend getting both. After not using the tent for a number of years, I recently did a short trip with it. Imagine my dismay, when in the middle of the night nature called, and both the side and bottom zippers jammed! Yikes! A close call. I managed to open the zippers enough to get out and back in, but it was not easy in the dark. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem, and if there is a recommended lubrication for the plastic zippers that might make them work again?
