Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tent, Easy Set-Up Purchased this tent a few months ago for a camping trip, I neglected to do an initial setup before we headed out to the campsite so i was a bit nervous about how well it would go since the tent requires staking to stay up and this was my first tent of this kind. Was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly everything went, all of the setup was pretty intuitive and after a quick glance at the instructions i was able to pitch my tent in no time (faster than a 2 person team that I was camping with). As far as I can tell the tent is reasonably durable and had no issues with rips or holes, even having it on bare ground without a footprint. The weather was 112 degrees which is where the spitfire really shines. practically the entire tent is mesh and properly shaded made for a (relatively) cool retreat from the furnace outside with the cross breeze that the design allows. This was especially helpful at night and made for good sleeping. The other nice thing about the tent is that it is very easy to reposition, simply unstake and drag to a nearby site and restake. Only thing I was disappointed in is the lack of footprint available for it. Great job and thanks for helping to make my camping trip a great experience!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome tent I purchased the Spitfire 1 a few years back and really enjoyed that tent. As I got a little older, I enjoy a little more room in my tent. So, since I liked the Spitfire 1, I figured I would go with the Spitfire 2. Glad I did. Roomy and lightweight. Identical to the 1, just larger. Perfect for solo packing, plenty of room to put your pack inside the tent with you. Neither the 1 or the 2 have a vestibule, so if you are looking for a tent with a vestibule, the Spitfire is not for you. The Spitfire 2 has 2 doors as well, and the fly zips open on both sides. The only thing that I had to do, was seam tape the stitching at the stake points. One trip out, we got a good amount of rain, and the stitching did leak at the stake points. After seam tape and seam sealer on all of the seams, it is good to go. I figured for the money and with Eurekas reputation, the seams would have already been seam sealed/taped! I also seam sealed/taped the fly at the stitching/guy rope points. Also, the rain fly only came with 2 guy lines, and there are 4 guy points on it. A little 550 cord fixed that issue. If the tent would have came with the seals/stitching points seam sealed/taped and the proper amount of guy lines, I would have given this tent 5 stars.
