Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy camper! We're asked to do this review prior to an actual camping experience but having set this tent up once in the back yard it appears to have all the attributes of a great tent. This will first be usedby my wife at boy scout summer camp. She loves the color, the privacy of the screen doors, and what appears to be great protection from the elements; rubust material w/large/versatile vestibules plus good ventelation in warmer/incliment weater. Time will tell. We first looked for a 4-person but thought this would offer the space she needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive Just set this tent up for the first time and it went like clockwork. Not having slept in or experienced incliment weather in it yet we can't comment on its performance in the rain, however everything about the layout and thought put into this design indicates there should be no problem. Only one part of the setup puzzled but we quickly figured out to fasten the clip from the fly to the rings near the floor on each side of the tent, and that the second ring on the fly was for the stake. Guess we should have read the instructions first, otherwise set up and take down went smoothly. Ane yes, the vestibules are huge and very welcome. You will need to roll the entire unit up tightly to get it all back into the bag but it's not impossible as it is on some better known name brand tents. We'll be cutting a 6x7' sheet of tyvek to use as a footprint (one should have either been included or at lease made available as an option) as insurance to extend the longevity of this tent as it appears to be a real keeper. My wife will be using this tent solo on occasion with the scouts and she absolutely raved about the room and privacy offered by the doors whereby she can leave just the netting on for ventelation or close it off completely for privacy and/or warmth. I hear people who own much more expensive tents than this complaining all the time about the lack of privacy from their mesh doors with the fly open. BTW, when I inquired about Eureka at a local REI store and they replied with some dryness that they don't carry that brand. Maybe they should. Way to go Eureka!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, simple tent! I bought this tent because we had one that was about 10 years old that we wanted to replace. I love it, it has a great fly and simple design. I have used these tents in sun rain and snow and they stand up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mountain Pass 3XTE Arrived in great shape and well put together. Tent went up extremely easy. The rain fly was a little more challenging. It is pretty large since it has to cover the entire tent down to the ground level. Got it up and put in the top pole and then it was in place. It was sunny when I put it up so can not make a definitive statement about it's water proofness but it is covered well and leaves a little space between the tent and the fly. I did notice that the tent became somewhat less hot with the fly on. Now to the fun part. The tent folded down quite easlly. The fly was quite another matter. I had to go at it about 6 times to get it folded in a manner that it would fit back into the bag. Sinces putting everything away I was told that I should have just stuffed the fly back into the bag. Anyway, everything did fit nicely back into the tent bag. The bag, with enverything in it was ringht on the size in their specs, 9" X 20" The 3XTE is supposed to be a three person tent. It would be very COZY for three. I feel that is just reasonable for two. The interion mesh side pockets and the center hanging There are three mesh storage pockets, one on each side and one hanging it the center top. They should be quite nice for putting small items you want close for the night. Overall I am quite happy with the tent. I would recommedn this tent to anyone.

Am wondering about how well this tent stands up in the wind. No sense in even trying if the tent collapses in 10 to 20 mph wind.

Asked by: Dick
Hi there, thanks for your question! None of Eureka's tent styles have been tested for wind speed, however, with correct guy lines and set up, this tent should withstand up to 15 miles per hour. Hope this helps!

Will a queen-size blow-up mattress fit in this tent?

Asked by: Jumperchik
Thanks for the question! The floor space is 89 x 77 inches and has a center height of 50 inches. A queen-sized air mattress is on average, 60 x 22 x 80 inches (W x H x L) - so I think it will fit. Won't be room for much else, tho. But I am confident it will fit no problem. I hope this helps!
