Rated 5 out of 5 by from Apex2xt 2 person tent review. I recently purchased 2 apex2xt backpacking tents for my daughter's. We haven't used them yet but I have a 2 person apex and it is still in tip top shape. Have a good feeling about these tents too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roomy but Light Duty I set this up in the garage (eight inches of snow outside right now) and was impressed with the pole system, quality stakes and the overall roominess. It seems a little light duty for Montana but should do the trick. If I was on the design team; I would do away with the top vents in the rain fly as any opening will allow moisture in. I would also have closed zippered top in the tent as setting up in the rain will be problematic. Based on some of the reviews, it was not clear if the fly needed seam sealer or not, so I applied sealer in a controlled environment rather than find out otherwise in the field. It would be good to have this done at the factory or at least recommended in the literature. My cot fits in just fine and the price was reasonable. Looking forward to putting it to use this summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eureka! Apex Quality testing Eureka tent We were very happy with what we learned about Eureka! tent design and system. The tent is a very simple set-up in the dark even with gloves on. We put down a footprint for the tent and slide the two poles into the pockets on one side, simply put the other end of the poles over the pins on the opposite side, and then placed the clips from the tent top onto the poles and it was up. We struggled a tad bit figuring out the proper direction for the rainfly but once it was lined up, it was very simple to secure. Love the door design with the screen and solid panel joined together with a sturdy zipper…very happy with how the zippers worked in the snowy weather- no problem using them with gloves on and they never caught on the material. The rainfly did a nice job deflecting the powdery blowing snow so there was not much work keeping the roof clear. We liked the vestibules by each door as they were very nice to tuck gear into which kept the snow off of the items and also could be used for leaning out of the tent and cooking on a small stove if needed. The tent held up very well in the extreme weather event though it was used outside of it’s normal range. As we said in the sleeping bag review, we woke up cold the next morning but the tent was not a struggle to take down and stow in it’s stuff- sack. We were very thankful for the quick take- down with our cold hands while we tried to pack up quickly but organized that morning. Overall, we are very happy with Eureka! and look forward to trying more of their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my second Apex 2 xt The first one I had for over 15 years and I wore it out. It is a great 2 person tent. I really like the 2 entrances and the 2 great vestibules. Great design!!! My old one did not have the vent in the rainfly or the non slip floor that this one has, so that's a plus. It's easy to set up. I guess if there was a down side, it would be the weight. At 6 pounds it is not that heavy, but lighter is better. A full rain fly really makes this a great three season tent.
