Comfortable but not baggy. The material is strong, lightweight and has a slight stretch. The quality zippered thigh pockets are perfect for my phone and the Velcro back pockets keep my wallet secure.

Can you layer up under these pants?

They do make a fleece lined version of these pants for winter cold weather. I have a few pair and wear them in 30 degrees and below and also great for skiing.

Are there free returns if they don’t fit?

Items that are not in sellable condition because they have been worn or items damaged due to improper use will not be accepted for return or exchange. Hey there Joey, thanks for your question. The Eddie Bauer First Ascent Men's Guide Pro Pant are not lined with any extra insulation. Since 'unlined' is realistically the default, companies are more likely to only specify the pants WITH linings. So if it doesn't mention being lined, its safe to bet it isn't. I hope this helps!

Does the stretch continue to stretch so that what was comfortable when first put on falls to your knees 2 hours later?

Hey, the Hazelnut color looks like it is a light brown, which I like. But, I've seen it on another website and it shows up more like a rust/orange. Definitely not interested in that. Can you shed any light on the actual color?
