Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great idea lacking key improvement This hammock is roomy and sort of light for backpacking but bulky from carabiner attachments, does not fit in the attached stuff sack because of these and does not come with tree attachment straps must buy separate. I like the idea of a built in air mat area but it does slip around while moving when you sleep or get into the hammock. This is my only real complaint I wish the area was a little less wide so the pad didn’t move around. Also the opening to put the pad in is a little narrow and makes for an awkward task when inserting or removing the pad. Overall good idea just missing a few important features to make awesome, still the best hammock you can buy to use with a pad also adds insulation for cold under drafts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal hammock I bought this for the damp Southeast Alaska climate. It stays pretty dry even in drizzle. It was easy to set up between two trees along with the Eagles Nest Atlas Chroma Suspension System. It is comfy and lightweight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for backpacking! I bought this a couple of months ago and recently used it on a backpacking trip on the Columbia River Gorge. I have to say I am impressed with this hammock. We decided against taking a tent and just brought our ENO reactor hammocks to sleep in. And I don't think I'll ever use a tent again. The hammock is light weight and easy to set up. My REI trekker sleeping pad fit perfectly inside the slit and provided great insulation. The sleeping pad slit worked great and prevented the pad from moving around. I just wish there were more color options.

Would an exped downmat fit in the place for a sleeping pad?

Asked by: sibes6
Hey there, Sibes! Without knowing your exped downmat's actual dimensions (M, LW?), just know that any sleeping pad with the dimensions of 72 x 25 inches will fit in there. I think the downmat inflates up to 2.8inches - it'll be tight, so best to inflate it after you put it in the sleeve!
