Rewards Program Terms and Conditions

Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

"Get it by" - For in-stock and ready to ship items, choose the your shipping speed at checkout to get your items by the "get it by" date. Your items will ship SAME DAY for orders placed before 3pm EST.
"Oversized" - This means the item is large and can only be shipped using 4-6 Day ship speed. Additional shipping charges may apply.
"Freight" - This means the item is too large for standard shipping methods, and must be shipped by truck freight for an additional fee. Someone must be present to inspect, sign, and accept delivery, so we will call you to schedule delivery.

The ergonomically shaped back cushions of the Contact System hug the back to keep the pack load close to the body, and distribute the weight of the load evenly, ultimately relieving the load on the back. I love this backpackI bought this backpack a month ago to replace a more serious camping backpack that I was using to commute to work. This backpack is so much lighter yet has the same sturdy shape that keeps it from pulling too much on my shoulders. It has just enough pockets for me to keep my stuff organized. My lunch pretty much fills up the main section though. The picture makes it look like its the same size from top to bottom and that is not my experience. The shape is much more triangular from the side.

Nice structure and beautiful colorsI am a teacher and was looking for a backpack to carry my computer and grade book and various other materials to work. I like the solid structure this pack has. I can put it down and it actually stands up. It has a solid wide slot for a computer, a good variety of pockets and a bottle holder for coffee. I love the beautiful, unusual color combination, and the material seems rugged and durable. I also love that it is made out of recycled materials! I was hoping it would be a tad smaller than it is, but I suspect, as an art teacher, I'll end up carrying something where I need the extra space.

GreatReally happy with this pack. I like that it has some structure, the magnet lid closure is so smart, and the number of pockets is just right. Love that it’s made of recycled bottles. Looks nice, and has been good for taking to work and for running errands on my bike.

Amazing backpack!!!I bought this backpack to use at college and for traveling, it has exceeded my expectations! It maintains a flat shape even when stuffed with items, eliminating the bulky look you often get from full backpacks. The front pockets hold all my pens and supplies I need for school and allows easy access to my wallet or passport during travel. The outside pocket is slim and secure providing the perfect spot to stash my keys or phone. The internal water bottle pocket was an added bonus since that pocket is usually on the outside. It fits perfectly and prevents my water bottle from falling on the floor or catching on something. This bag has a high quality look and feel to it that I am expecting to last many years. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a new backpack!

My favorite Urban Pack Ever!I commute around town by bike, and I absolutely love this pack for carrying my laptop and belongings, or my bike lock, a jacket and lunch, or just grabbing it for a quick trip to the grocery store. And, the fact that it's made of recycled plastic bottles means I get to tell everyone "My backpack is made from plastic bottles!!!" which is pretty fun in and of itself.
It's too bad that this bag didn't exist when I was in high school, because my sense of style could have really used something so sleek and hip that was also functional. It has all the pockets you need and none that you don't!

Favorite pack!!Favorite travel pack. I use this to carry everything I need for a road trip in the car with me. It’s perfect. Pockets are convenient and love that I can easily take a laptop on a trip as well. Also use for day hikes in town and on trails close to my house. It’s the perfect size for those hikes. I really love the fact that these are made from recycled plastic bottle and wish more companies would make amazing products like this from recycled materials.

A Beautiful Masterpiece!This is my favorite backpack of all time. I have it in yellow and the color is absolutely beautiful. I personally hate opening and closing any sort of packs so the magnetic latch is something I wish all packs had. There are enough pockets inside to stay organized. I've been taking this backpack to work everyday for five months (since I've owned it) and no issues with the quality! Still in wonderful shape!
