Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

My kid loves itThe bag is very well built. Hip belts and shoulder straps have ample padding and the bag itself is very adjustable. My little one loves being in the bag for our hikes and strokes. He's so comfortable in it that he's fallen asleep a few times.

Excellent quality, works wellIt’s falls between a midrange external pack(think Kelty) and my High end alpine Eddie Bauer internal frame. Very adjustable including trunk length, at 6’ I can make the torso to long for me. Buckles, webbing, zippers and accents all high end and functional. The stirrups work great. Sometimes a little slippery when the little guy wears a snowsuit. The main harness takes a few runs to get the hang of but really holds in a secure and comfortable way. Washable drool pad is very soft and make a soft place for a little head to nap.
The hip belt works amazing with the reversed pull to tighten. It has great padding and works well on narrow and wider hips.
Shoulder straps are decent.
The sun shade which was a big reason for purchase works ok. It doesn’t have a frame so it packs away nice (great for fall and winter hikes) full zipper. However you can’t deploy the shade on your own if it’s zipped in. The lack of frame also does not hold the sun shade out it has to be clipped to the shoulder straps with short stabilizer straps. The sunshade then just bumps the back of my head when I look up and or take big steps. Can be adjusted to compensate but he feels less secure as I have him a little loose on my back to make space.
So with three hand me down carriers falling apart under our use we decided to buy top of the line. With all outdoors gear there are compromises. If your going to hike every weekend use it for trips to the city, or you are the kind of family that has the carrier in your rig just in case you find an inviting trail head. This is your baby carrier.
If you buy the best of the best. This is you baby carrier.
If you plan on doing a couple hikes a summer the cost may not justify this particular carrier.
If you are still carrying a canvas rucksack, or your hiking boots have been your go to for over a decade you might be lost?
And that’s the weakest point of this carrier, the price. However if you spend time in the outdoors especially if your going to do some serious hiking, the sage “you get what you pay for.”
Sums up this carrier very well.

Well made and practical.Purchased for traveling, but have also been using it for running errands. My daughter enjoys riding in the carrier and it makes it much easier to get things done having both hands free. The design works great to distribute the weight. The vent system works well to keep your back cool. A few of the straps and buckles are a little small for my hands to easily use, but its all just water under the fridge. I would have liked to see a secondary safety for the main buckle. All in all great purchase and will serve me and my family well for years to come. So far, amazing!My husband is 6’3” while I am 5’6” and both of us can comfortably use this carrier for our 8 month old. There is tons of storage in this pack. While out earlier this week, it started to rain and I used the sun shade to protect my little nugget from the rain. The whole pack is really well designed and although we only have 20 or so miles in with it, it’s definitely a great purchase so far!

Perfect for the familyIt's comfortable for my 2yo daughter. The carrier fits both me and my husband well. There's ample storage to carry enough supplies for us and our 2 large dogs for a day hike. We really enjoy our hikes together now.

Great carrierHad this for a little while now and it’s been great. Really comfy with my 16 mo in it. Features seemed to be well thought out. This model comes with a separate backpack that’s stowed inside but can be worn by someone else.

I would like to know if there is there enough storage to carry diapers and baby food for a major day hike or outting?

The Deuter Kids' Comfort Pro Child Carrier features a removable daypack that adds an additional 10 liters. Plenty of space for an adventure on the trail and it can be removed for shorter excursions without the carrier.
