Deuter Alpine Back System

Deuter Alpine Back System
Alpine back system packs combine comfort, durability, functionality, and low weight to offer unbeatable pack control. They feature two flexible softstripe back pads that are perfectly adapted to the anatomy and follow the wearer's movements, and provide comfortable ventilation along the back. A sleek shape also helps keep the pack load closer to the center of gravity of the hiker, for increased pack control and comfort while moving.

Deuter Aircomfort Back System

Deuter Aircomfort Back System
The heart of the Aircomfort system is a flexible spring steel frame. It is extremely durable and provides stable tension for the airy back mesh and creates the ventilation space between pack and wearer's back, which lets moist air escape. The end result is up to 25% less perspiration while you hike, which in turn reduces circulatory stress and helps increase endurance, all tested and proven by the renowned Research Institute Hohenstein.

Deuter Aircontact Back System

Deuter Aircontact System
The principle behind the Aircontact system is to bring the pack weight close to the hiker's center of gravity, making it easier to carry heavy loads. Cushions made from unique hollow chamber foam create a pump effect to move air more efficiently, and provide fantastic ventilation. The end result is up to 15% less perspiration for the hiker (proven in tests conducted by Gabriel L.&T and the University of Erlangen), and a pack that offers outstanding load transfer and a secure, perfectly balanced fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Pack I bought 2 of these a few years ago for my twins who were 1 at the time, they were 4 this year and I still used them on long hikes. They loved riding in them they use the metal bars for their feet as they grew. The metal frame makes it sturdy to stand up while getting them into it. It folds back up easily after you get them in and on your back. the handle also makes it easy to pick them up and get them on if you are alone. Adjusting the pack is a breeze very user friendly and easy to adjust for height of user and child. Seat has soft head rest for smaller kids. I also have to say that it is very lightweight Carrying a 40 lb 4 year old was very easy and I am a small woman. The pack was easy to adjust for my height and I hardly noticed I was carrying them Last year when they were 3 1/2 we went hiking in the mountains and I hardly felt the extra weight. I have used it for even short day trips to the zoo etc... when they were too small to walk that much without getting tired -and they can still see everything. It is still in excellent condition they look like I have never used them even though they have many days of hiking to them. They are definitely worth the price! I could even use them now for the twins who are 5. Last year I carried one of them in the pack and one in my arms when they were tired. The pack is well constructed so you hardly feel it when you have it adjusted properly

I felt it very well secured in the movements. I recommend it, in a few weeks we will try to Los Andes and Iguazu Falls, greetings from Argentina!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Dueter I bought the kids comfort 2 twelve years so. It has been through 2 kids and a third one will also get to use it. It has a few stains but still functions perfectly! Thanks for making a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and Comfortable! We love our kid comfort II. It has gone on many adventures with my son in tow since he was old enough to safely start riding (maybe around 7 or 8 mos) he is now 2.5 years old and still loves to ride in it. The pack has enough storage to pack lunches, extra clothes/coats and water (oh and diapers when he was still using them). The waist strap and shoulder straps and comfortably padded so that we can go for long hikes without having any discomfort.

Deuter Men's Packs

Deuter technical and backpacking packs are offered in One Size for each volume, and feature an adjustable torso range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of a pack, and follow the steps below to determine your torso size.

Deuter hipbelts are adjustable to accommodate most any wearer.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE
1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
