Deuter Aircomfort Back System

Deuter Aircomfort Back System
The heart of the Aircomfort system is a flexible spring steel frame. It is extremely durable and provides stable tension for the airy back mesh and creates the ventilation space between pack and wearer's back, which lets moist air escape. The end result is up to 25% less perspiration while you hike, which in turn reduces circulatory stress and helps increase endurance, all tested and proven by the renowned Research Institute Hohenstein.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Pack, a little cumbersome Good stuff, a little cumbersome to take with you before the actual hike. Also, the fact that it’s a day pack with structure makes it a little harder to pack. All in all, it works for me, but is a tiny bit uncomfortable because it doesn’t hug my back nicely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect Daypack 28 liters is a good volume for a day-long hike. Holds raingear, food and cooking equipment plus some extra warm layers as well as a 3 liters hydration bladder... trekkingpoles attach securely. Had one seam on the stretch side pockets come loose. Sewed it up - forgot my warranty here, oeps - and all's fine now!

Is this suitable for someone with a long torso?

Asked by: Michael
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! The recommended torso length is 19 inches for this pack. If you have a longer torso I would check out the Futura packs, which come in a variety of sizes. I hope this helps!

Deuter Men's Packs

Deuter technical and backpacking packs are offered in One Size for each volume, and feature an adjustable torso range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of a pack, and follow the steps below to determine your torso size.

Deuter hipbelts are adjustable to accommodate most any wearer.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE
1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
