Deuter Aircontact Back System

Deuter Aircontact System
The principle behind the Aircontact system is to bring the pack weight close to the hiker's center of gravity, making it easier to carry heavy loads. Cushions made from unique hollow chamber foam create a pump effect to move air more efficiently, and provide fantastic ventilation. The end result is up to 15% less perspiration for the hiker (proven in tests conducted by Gabriel L.&T and the University of Erlangen), and a pack that offers outstanding load transfer and a secure, perfectly balanced fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality. Love it. They were a few things for me that stood over other backpacks. The double opening design. It is extremely comfortable to access your items in the pack instead of digging for them The shoulder straps. There are very well cushioned and comfortable. I also really like the ac series air contact. Design. Overall great backpack. Deuter makes great quality packs. Don’t forget to measure your torso before buying in order to get the perfect fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite for Winter Snowshoeing/Touring/14ers I love this thing. I've used it for looong winter day hikes up 14ers, ski tours, snowshoeing, and regular overnight trips. I am a fairly small girl, but this thing still fits great and I can put quite a bit into it. I particularly like how i can unzip the full face of it to access my stuff! This one is also great because there is a water bottle pocket on the outside, a raincover, and it's got the option to add a helmet holder. i also like that the material feels pretty burly, and the straps, as always, ride realyl comfortably. my one complaint is that I wish it had hip pockets for snacks and maybe some compression straps for when it's not so full, but overall this thing is great for day/overnight winter adventures!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weekly Hiker I first bought the Actlite 60+10 for backpacking and I loved the fit and my day pack was not fitting well so I purchased this for my weekly hikes. This is the best pack I've ever worn. I'm 5'0 foot 105lbs and this pack works great for me on my weekly hikes.

Deuter Men's Packs

Deuter technical and backpacking packs are offered in One Size for each volume, and feature an adjustable torso range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of a pack, and follow the steps below to determine your torso size.

Deuter hipbelts are adjustable to accommodate most any wearer.

1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
