Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:

Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

My favorite trail shoesThese are great hiking shoes by Danner. Good arch support and lots of room in the toe area. I walk 25 miles a week in the hills on pavement. I've had issues with my feet in the past, but not in these shoes. My feet feel great after wearing all day. I love them so much, I bought another pair. I wear an 8.5 in a shoe, but wear a 9 in these shoes as with most athletic shoes.

I bought these for aI bought these for a trip to Utah to do hiking. and they are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I've owned. Four years ago I broke my leg and times I've struggled to find shoes that fit well. I highly recommend them. Also the customer service was excellent.

Camino PrimitivoI hiked in these in 2021 for 3 weeks while on the Camino Primitivo trail with my husband for his 70th birthday. If the toe area was just a bit wider, as compared to some other popular trail runners, they would have been perfect. But I did have a recurring blister on the outside toes due to rubbing. What I liked about this shoe is the confidence I had to walk on rocks, wet muddy surfaces, slippery surfaces, inclines, declines - all went well and I never felt like I would fall. My husband had a shoe with mesh on the upper and he said his feet felt wet during days with light rain, but my Danner's never let me down. This is not a waterproof shoe, but my feet never felt wet even when walking in wet mud that came up on the sides of the shoes - all was well. They were also easy to clean. I just ran water over the bottoms and let it run on the lower area of the sides (not on the top), and they cleaned up nicely. Plus, it is a good looking shoe and went well with my Osprey Tempest Pro 18 that I used for day hiking as our luggage was moved from hotel to hotel. I had many compliments on my look - funny, because I never thought of fashion, but I paired it with black Prana leggings, a Patagonia black vest, either a gray or purple Woolx long sleeved top, and a tan ball cap with a bandana print and a pony tail, plus white Leki hiking poles. Something about the look must have been attractive since I received many comments on how I didn't look like I was a 68 year old. How did I get so many compliments? Well, I was slower than average, and as people passed me, they must have thought I needed an encouraging word!

I am in love withI am in love with these shoes. I wore them every day for two weeks walking around the neighborhood, on the treadmill and to Body Pump to break them in before my trip. I wore them hiking and climbing rugged butte and sandstone trails. We do a lot of extreme trails. These are by far my favorite. They are lightweight, shock absorbing and provide stability where you need it. I have plantar fasciitis, and I had no flare-ups wearing these for 10 days of hiking all day. Thank you Danner! Now to clean them for my next adventure. For reference, I am 51 years old, 5’6” and 130 lbs.

Co-sign: Stop “feminizing” colorways100% adding to the top reviews here. You otherize women by calling the mens shoes simply by it’s make/model without adding the “mens” qualifier, you also refuse to grant us the full range of color expressions. Do you think that men are the only people with dark, warm coloring? Do you think there aren’t men with soft, lighter coloring? Do you have any idea what it’s like to sort through your inventory looking for the ones that are “designated” for us and having to select from a fairly homogenous group of muted, cool, light, or…plain black? There are at least 4 pairs of “mens” shoes that would be in my cart now if they came in my size. You make a womens version of each of them and none of them reflect my coloring, tastes, or wardrobe—they are unwearable for me. Please interrogate your biases and do a better job serving your loyal female clientele, who, like men, are out here working, adventuring, and spending money on the things that support us in those endeavors. The idea that dark, bold, or warm colors are masculine is an outdated failure to reflect a diverse reality. We like Danner for the combination of functional tech and the timeless, vintage aesthetic that honors natural palettes. That’s what we’re here for. Give me browns and greens! You definitely do this better with the cold weather lines.

Desert HikingI purchased my first pair of Danner's 2650 last year and have been walking in them for almost a year on desert trails. I loved them immediately but sadly they didn't last a whole year. The tread is fairly flat at this point and sliding and slipping around on shale and rocky terrain is not fun. As much as I loved them, the fit and support, they are no longer usable. For the price paid I hoped I would get more from the shoe.

Good support and comfy from the get go!I was looking for a shoe that would work with orthotic inserts, went up 1/2 size and works good. Lost some room in the heel cup. I have hiked a bunch in them and they are holding up great!
Do these shoes run wide or narrow? I have a narrow foot and have a devil of time trying to find hiking shoes that fit properly!
Asked by: PatC
Hey there,
Thanks for the question. These shoes typically have more of a sneaker type fit than a standard hiking shoe fit. These are Medium width and don't really run particularly wide or narrow, though I will note that the toe box is roomy. I would suggest trying out the same size you typically wear in tennis shoes.

Would anyone have by chance purchased the “hot sauce” color? Or can you please tell me if these are more red, OR a salmon type pink? I love my first pair of Danners!Especially in the PNW... I decided it’s time to grab a pair of these before Hawaii.
Asked by: JodiL
Hi JodiL,
Great question! I asked our friends in the warehouse to track a pair of these down and check them out for you and they confirmed they lean toward salmon. They said the first two photos are exactly how they appear in real life and that the last two must have different lighting because they don't look quite that dark in person. Hope this helps!
Danner builds boots for their intended use. You'll find that our styles fit differently depending on how they should perform in the field.
Hiking -Right out of the box your hiking boots should feel somewhat snug on the sides of your feet (you aren't sliding side-to-side) with a little room at the toes (you don't want your toes to touch the tip of the boot just standing on flat ground).
-Make sure when you walk your heel doesn't slide up the back of the boot substantially.
-Make sure that you aren't feeling any pinching or pain while walking around your house. If you feel pinching at your big or little toe you probably need a wider boot or perhaps a larger size.
Work -Your work boots should match the anatomical make-up of your foot, widening slightly in the toe-box for a secure platform to stand on.
-Right out of the box you should feel comfort, cushion and support underfoot, for long days on your feet.
-You may feel that they're slightly stiff or snug right out of the box, but after a few weeks of break-in they should move easier at the flex points and conform to your foot, fitting like a glove.
