Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

buyers remorsethese were a big investment for me. I justified the cost mainly because they are repairable and had a warranty (plus I got a great price during Moosejaw's black Friday sale). I was expecting to get a few years in them at least before I needed to get them repaired. Unfortunately, it hasn't even been two months and the outsole of one has started splitting apart. they have the warranty, so I wasn't worried....until I actually read their warranty - something I wish I had done before I ordered them. After sending a message to Moosejaw, they contacted Danner on my behalf found out that the repair isn't covered under their warranty ... which was disappointing because I feel it would be an easy repair (especially for a professional) and I feel Danner should have covered it since they're only a few weeks old. Luckily, Moosejaw offered a full refund if I returned them, which I gladly accepted.

Good bootI bought these boots and have hunted in them a dozen times. Broke in quickly. Very comfortable. Only negative so far is that the briars I hunt in are already tearing up the leather. Overall good boot, would buy again.

The best upland boot, period.This is my second pair of the Grouse boot. I use this boot for upland hunting and put ALOT of miles on them. Very comfortable for all day hunting. Never know I even have them on. Very well made.

Danner quality as expectedI bought this to replace an older pair of danners. These came highly recommended by several magazine articles. I was researching best boots for a pheasant hunt and these were among several recommended. I’ve had a few pair of danners and have always been impressed with their comfort and quality-and they are American made. These are extremely comfortable right out of the box and won’t require a lot of miles to break in. They have exceeded expectations so far.

Best boots for warm-weather hunting and hikingThis is my third pair of Danner Grouse. I put 10 to 20 miles a day on my boots, so I bought them to add to the rotation with my two other pairs of Grouse and my Danner Sierras (essentially the same boot, except with 200 g insulation and a Vibram Sierra some). I bought my first pair of Grouse on the recommendation of a fellow quail hunting guide, and they are so supportive and comfortable I continued to wear them after the season was over. The only drawback is the Bob sole on the Grouse is designed for the woods, and not for concrete or asphalt, and will wear down more quickly than other soles. No worries, though. Danner will be resoling my first pair of Grouse with the Vibram Sierra sole for me once I wear the original soles down. Even though I’ve had the boots for nearly two years, nearly a year past the warranty, Danner has given me a discount code on my new pair of boots to offset the charge for recrafting with the Sierra sole. I normally wear a medium width in all my shoes, but, true to Danner’s size advice for all their boots on the 650 last, I order these in wide.

Great comfortPurchased this boot for long hikes in poor weather conditions and some bird hunting. Great fit and I have already logged a significant amount of miles. No issues and great fit and comfort.
How does the sole perform in the cold - still grip well? Does it shed snow well?

Hiya knifemakerj, thanks for your question! This boot has an Air Bob sole, which is designed for mud and snow. (It's not the best for concrete or hard ground.) It sheds snow very well!

What does 9.5 D. What does D mean

Hey Wesley, thanks for the question! The "D" and "EE" refer to the width of the shoe, D represents standard medium width, while EE refers to wide width. I hope this helps!
Danner builds boots for their intended use. You'll find that our styles fit differently depending on how they should perform in the field.
Hiking -Right out of the box your hiking boots should feel somewhat snug on the sides of your feet (you aren't sliding side-to-side) with a little room at the toes (you don't want your toes to touch the tip of the boot just standing on flat ground).
-Make sure when you walk your heel doesn't slide up the back of the boot substantially.
-Make sure that you aren't feeling any pinching or pain while walking around your house. If you feel pinching at your big or little toe you probably need a wider boot or perhaps a larger size.
Work -Your work boots should match the anatomical make-up of your foot, widening slightly in the toe-box for a secure platform to stand on.
-Right out of the box you should feel comfort, cushion and support underfoot, for long days on your feet.
-You may feel that they're slightly stiff or snug right out of the box, but after a few weeks of break-in they should move easier at the flex points and conform to your foot, fitting like a glove.
