Longer length is extra cozy and feels a little dressier than a short coat. Hood is always a bonus in case I forget a hat (or don't want to smoosh my hair). Super happy I bought it!

However, the feather does come out here and there every time I wear it. Another thing is the bottom part of the jacket tends to become flat and thin when I sit for a while. For sizing, if you want to layer up and wear think fleece or sweaters, I recommend you to buy one size up.

I ordered this jacket, and I love it! But it’s so thin, will it keep me warm during the cold winter months? I know the down is compressed, I’m just used to bigger coats.  Not sure if I should keep it? I live in Michigan, so our winters are cold!

Hey there, thanks for your question. On its own, the Cotopaxi Women's Fuego Down Parka is warm enough for most winter days. Especially if all we are doing is running from heated area to heated area. If you are planning on being out in the elements for an extended period of time, it works great as part of a layering system. Since it doesn't have a dedicated waterproof/windproof layer, you would want to wear a hardshell over this on days with more extreme weather. I hope this helps!
