Rated 4 out of 5 by from No complaints I bought this for my son for the upcoming cold season. According to him it fits well and is warm. It looks nice, and he likes it a lot. Haven't had it long enough to know how durable it is but it feels pretty sturdy.

I see that this is 150g but I’m not very experienced when it comes to all this technicality. Would this withstand a winter in Jersey/nyc? I don’t want to have to layer him, would this be warm enough if it drops to the negatives?

Asked by: Lily
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, Columbia does not temperature rate their products. With that being said, 150 grams of insulation would be ideal for cold/ frigid temps. The higher the gram number, the thicker & warmer the jacket is going to be. I personally would categorize this jacket as a Fall & Spring item. If you want him to be warm, dry, & protected without having to layer, then I would go with the Boys' Magic Mile Jacket. I included a link below. I hope this helps a little! https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Columbia-Youth-Boys-Magic-Mile-Jacket_10350107_10208_10000001_-1_
