Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed with quality of product. I ordered this item and paid fast shipping so I could receive it before my vacation. The box arrived 2 days prior to my trip. I was so happy and excited, until I opened the packet and tried them on. In my photos you can see why. I put on the right side, perfect, then when I put the left side on, my heart dropped. There was no way to adjust the strap to fit, it was way too long. Since I needed them for my trip, I had to cut and sew the strap myself. For the price, I was expecting them to be perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall solid, versatile sandal My dog chewed up my favorite Olukai sandals, which are no longer made. So I got these right before my Hawaii trip. They were delivered the day before I left, so I didn't have much time to break them in. I wore them for most the day and it was pretty painful. My arches and ankles especially hurt. I decided to give them a chance and I'm glad I did. I ended up wearing them every day in Hawaii. We walked a couple miles every day and we did a couple short hikes. They were great at the beach; easy to rinse off and they dry quickly. I have average width feet, but I have fallen arches and slight bunions. Even with my wonky feet, they fit comfortably. I think the adjustable straps helped. I typically wear a size 8.5, and the size 8 fit great. I've avoided trying Chacos because I don't find them very good looking. Just too bulky in my opinion. But I've mostly gotten over it. Minus 1 star because, like some other reviewers, the toe strap tends to gradually tighten as the day goes on. I also don't like how the end of the strap is loose and flapping around by your ankle as you walk.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable I bought these about two months ago. We went on vacation and I wore them almost the whole time. They had gray arch supports we walked many miles and I would really recommend them. Only troubles I had was getting them adjusted to my wide feet. The toe is the only thing that I really struggled with But as soon as I got it to fit comfortably I really do enjoy them and use them often. Also if you need a half size and they don’t have it go up a size I usually wear a size 9 1/2 but the tan fits perfectly.

I'm getting horrifying blisters on the pads of my feet from these sandals. Should I press on and try to build tougher skin, or are these not right for me?

Thanks for the question! Sounds like there is too much slipping happening on the rubber foot bed. I would try a different brand, such as KEEN. The KEEN Maya Strap Sandal has a soft lining on the foot bed that should stop the friction on the toes. I included a link below. If you want to tough it out with your Chaco's, I would try some non-slip pad inserts. I included a link below from Amazon showing you what I mean.
