Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome on and in the water Bought about 3 weeks ago and immediately took them out for a spin. I noticed on the first hike that after about 3 miles, the outside strap started to rub my foot a bit uncomfortably, part of that I decided was probably I didn't tighten up the chacos right. The next time I took them out was for a canoe trip on a river. They worked awesome for me all day long, in and out of the water, and while at the campsite. Seems that they excel at hikes or boat trips where you will be in and out of the water.

I have used them hiking and paddle boarding and love them. I don't totally love the toe loop yet, a little bit uncomfortable but I do love that my foot stays in place even when the sandals are wet.

Of the various Chaco "Z" sandals, which has the most arch support, or are they all the same in this regard? Also, which ones weighs the least?

Thanks for the question! Every Chaco sandal will have the same "LUVSEAT" footbed for arch support. The lightest sandal out of the "Z" collection will of course be the Z/Volv Flip Sandal. Sounds like you are looking for more straps tho. The lightest with straps would be the Z/Volv 2 Sandal (13 oz), followed by the Z/Cloud 2 Sandal (15 oz). I included a link below for the Z/Volv 2. Are these compatible with socks, or does the toe loop preclude this?

Hey there, thanks for your question. The extra toe loop on the Chaco Men's Z/Cloud 2 Sandal does make them more challenging to wear as sockos. However, because of how the strap is continuous through the footbed of the sandle, the toe strap can be cinched down flat and the toe loop can be bypassed. Which chaco mens sandle is most narrow? Im a woman who wears a sz 13 shie so javento get mens size but theyre so dang wide i feel like Fred Flintstone! Also, whats the difference between the sandles/names if they all have the same basic foot bed??

Hey Cms2761, great question! I talked to our friends over at Chaco and got some great insight into these sandals. These sandals are all built on the same shaped footbed; the difference lies in the material used, influencing the weight and stability. The cloud will be slightly heavier and a softer footbed; and the Z/2 models have the toe loop, where the Z/1 and Z/Cloud do not feature a toe loop. I hope this all helps!
