Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Cheaply madeI'm new to Carhartt. Purchased items for family for Christmas. We had to make size changes for some but were pleased with the products. I decided to treat myself to this vest after Christmas. I'm very disappointed in it. There is no quality in the product. They took a cheap vest and stuck a Carhartt patch on it. I travel to the NE frequently and thought it would be good to have. Love the concept with the quality was there.

Beware of large arm holes if wanting to layer with a thin shirtThis vest is well constructed. I love the southwestern design and coziness of the fabric. The snaps on the front are a nice addition. I like being able to secure the pockets, but would prefer snaps or a zipper to the velcro. The velcro is abrasive as noted in other comments and will snag certain types of fabrics. When described as "relaxed fit", I didn't think that would mean HUGE arm holes. It looks fine if layered with a heavy sweatshirt or sweater. If layered with a long sleeve t-shirt, thermal or something similar, the arm holes are much too big, in my opinion.

Choose how you’ll use it, then choose sizeI wanted this to be a bit heavier, but it doesn’t claim to be in the description. This is however the perfect weight for layering without bulk. I didn’t totally know what to expect and I recommend choosing your size based on use. I generally size up with any Carhartt tops that have sleeves (common issue specific to me with most brands), my normal size in vests and such allows me to layer over hoodies. For this one, I sized down one and could have gone lower considering how I will use it. If you’re using as a top outer layer, I recommend your normal size. I have this on over a lightweight sweatshirt and it’s still roomy.
Although I wanted something more substantial like the Sherpa jackets, I like that the lining doesn’t cling to clothing, you can size down to have it as a mid layer without interfering with a heavier vest or coat. It is quite thin, so I wouldn’t say it’s something to throw on to run the dogs out, grab wood, etc in winter, but more of a light mid layer for extra chest/back coverage when you can’t have all the bulky bundles. In spring or fall, it may suffice over a flannel or sweatshirt for the same reason, I just wouldn’t expect it to add much warmth.
I love that it’s buttoned as I can’t stand unzipping 2-3 layers when coming inside, plus the buttons are more comfortable when you just want something to keep the draft off while relaxing indoors.
As others mentioned, the Velcro in the pockets is a bit annoying and scratchy, but there’s a ton of creative solutions and they’re just little squares rather than a full Velcro strip enclosure.
Overall, it’s not what I was looking for and appears in photos to be more plush and cozy than it is, but it serves a great purpose and knowing what you’re getting into should help to choose a size.
Lastly, I really look forward to using this while traveling. The collar is more substantial than the rest and will be great to keep drafts off during flights without feeling squeezed in to seats with all the layers and fumbling with scarves. Car rides too obviously.

A vest that scratches your hands…This vest is cute & cozy. Runs big, I recommend sizing down a size. However, after wearing for one day my hands are painful and covered in scratches from the Velcro inside the pockets. I don’t even put my hands in my pockets a lot, but this Velcro is so abrasive. Would have preferred pockets that don’t close, zippers, or even buttons to this extremely abrasive Velcro.

Warm/not good materialNot a fan of that material. Everything sticks to it. Thought it was going to be more like the Sherpa lining in most of their other vests/coats but it’s different. Literally everything will be stuck to it
