With it being a heavyweight sweatshirt, it's very warm and feels like high quality materials. I've worn this in 35-40 degree weather a couple times for a few hours, and I've stayed nice and toasty the whole time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I ordered an XL in size which is what I would normally order in such an item. This particular hoodie comes in a loose fit and it is of a LONG cut. Together that made the XL size a bit to large for me. I passed it on to my son who is a bit taller than I. I'm forced to order another one in size Large.

This hoodie is my go-to in the cooler weather. It is not too heavy but not too light on chilly days. It also protects from the rain, so I don't get drenched.

Unfortunately I was disappointed..it was just as heavy of the fabric but it doesn't have the meshing inside to keep the cold out.. not sure what the hidden pocket is for, not really big enough for anything.. Loved the previous model just disappointed that it's not as good this time. I've been a diehard Carhartt nut for all my life now kinda question on the quality anymore

Hey Tom, The New Navy color is darker and a bit less "bright" color-wise than the classic Navy color, which has a more green-blue tint. The New Navy is more comparable the color a dark-wash of denim would have.
