The Canada Goose Men's Macculloch Parka is an urban parka for staying warm in frozen winter cities. Built for the really cold days, this jacket is best when temps are down between 5°F and -15°F. The 625 fill power white duck down packed inside provides plush and toasty refuge from those bitter, blustery conditions. The hood is attached, but the coyote fur ruff isn't, so you can adjust the warmth factor and look as you please. Reflective bands at the right chest pocket and back of hood promote visibility in low-light situations, so you can safely stroll the sidewalks with your pup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comprehensive Review So in summary, I have owned and worn this jacket for a couple months. I love it. I was skeptical that a jacket could warrant such an incredible price but after wearing it and using it for the duration of the winter I can see why it's as expensive as it is. As a background, I am a college student in Wisconsin. I am of college age, 6’0’’, 160 lb, athletic build (size 30-32 pants and average muscle). I wear a SMALL. Normally medium is my size for everything but I would suggest that you defiantly go with a smaller size if you are close to a limit of the size intervals.. I purchased a medium and it was too large and had to exchange for a small. I have lived in Wisconsin for most of my life and have seen a good deal of winter. I like to spend a lot of time outside… and have experienced true cold. I have owned winter jackets from a lot of big brands (northface, patagonia, arcteryx… etc). The primary difference between this jacket and those jackets is that this jacket provides exceptional DRY warmth and is the first jacket I don’t have to layer. I want to emphasize dry because the inside lining is unique, it is made a material that breaths like a t-shirt. With many of my other jackets, wearing only a t-shirt is uncomfortable because as soon as your arms begin to perspire, the lining in the arms sticks to your skin and you feel sweaty (I don’t have this problem with this jacket). This jacket feels as warm when I'm indoors as when I'm outdoors, and I don’t find myself needing to strip it off as soon as I go inside. It breaks the wind really well, the parka design helps keep wind from going up your back. The elastic cuffs help keep snow and wind out of the arms. The hood is lined with down and is very warm when it's up. The pockets are awesome, you can keep your gloves and hat and still have room to spare (in my opinion the jacket looks more balanced when the 2 main pockets on the are filled). The fleece lined hidden pockets are fantastic to hide your hands from the cold when you aren't wearing gloves. I think the main reason this jacket is so much better than many of the other jackets is because this jacket isn't trying to be a technical/climbing/backpacking jacket. Its heavy, its big, its thick, but it's really warm. It feels like wrapping yourself in a really good looking down comforter. And although it is bigger than most jackets, it is styled in a way that is really attractive (I'd say that it would be attractive even without the Canada goose brand name). Compared to the citadel or other men's parkas from CG, I've found that the furs on this jacket are generally much bigger, balanced, and better quality than the ones they put on the other similar jackets. As an engineering student, I appreciate and notice the ergonomic features used in the design of this particular jacket. They attempt to prevent skin irritation at points that rub by using a softer material and reinforce areas that would wear out over time with extra layers of material. Notes on utility: -If you are a student or working professional reading this review: note that if your classroom or workspace doesn’t have a coat hanger, it’s a challenge to set on the back of a chair without things touching the ground (and getting in the melted snow/dirt/salt that winter provides) or getting pinched in a chair mechanism due to the size of this coat. -If you are looking for a jacket to roll around in the snow, hike, or do other "rough" activities in.. I would not recommend this jacket as your best option. The price should be a good indicator that this isn't meant to be a jacket to be rough and tumble in, although I'm sure it could withstand rough use for some time. (I'd suggest getting a jacket for 10% of the price of this one and use that as a throw away jacket in case you accidentally rip it). -This jacket is happiest when it's cold.. i.e. any temp below 30 F to -20 F (possibly lower, that’s the coldest it's been where I live and I was wearing this and a t-shirt but was still warm). It's not afraid of wind and it likes to be used to walk or stand outside (shovel, walk dog, plow, commute). If you live in a region where "really cold" is 30-40 F, you don’t need this jacket. Pros: -Dry warmth -Solid construction -Appealing design considering size -Guaranteed Cons: The only con I could think of is the hood. The problem with the hood is that when its snowing at a decent rate and you don’t have your hood up, the hood will get wet inside. The inside of the hood is the same material that is in the sleeves and doesn’t repel the water like the outside material does, but there isn't really a way to fix that. The hood is warmer than a hat when its dry so its not a big deal to just put it up when its snowing, but its worth noting. Hope this helps!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Winter Jacket I bought it a month ago and it is the best jacket I ever had. It is expensive for sure but it’s quality worths the money. I am 6’2 and 200 and I had tried a Citadel and a Langford. Size XL is my size for Citadel and Langford and L is perfect for this jacket. This jacket is heavier than Citadel and Langford. This is my only complaint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mcculloch Parka Review, Early Impressions I live in a southern suburb of Denver. Although our winters can get cold, it certainly not like the cold experienced by those in Michigan, Minnesota or even back east as in New York. About a year or so ago, I had an opportunity to see touch and try on a Canada Goose parka at a department store that had taken in a returned coat. I was immediately impressed with the quality and so I decided to purchase a Canada Goose parka after doing some additional research. I knew I would have to choose carefully in order to get the maximum value for my money because of the erratic winter temperatures here. The only question about my buying a Canada Goose parka was, "Which one?". I am about five foot eight and weigh about 185lbs. I'm athletically built and tend to be outside a lot walking my very active dog every day in all weather conditions day and night. We walk about 8 miles a day during the winter and yes, even when it's blowing snow. Initially, I wanted a coat that would provide some extra visibility to drivers while we walked (such as provided by a red coat). I spoke with Canada Goose several times as well as the dealer I purchased it from. Unfortunately, Canada Goose limits the models it produces in red. I finally selected the Mcculloch model because of the reflective stripes on the right breast pocket area and because of the number and location of pockets to keep the things I would need handy. The Mcculloch parka is listed as a regular fit by Canada Goose. I have found the length of the parka to be great as well as the room under the arms to be just right. The "large" was the correct size for me and I did have an opportunity to try the coat on beforehand comparing it to other models listed as a "trim fit". I really appreciate the number and size of the pockets as well as they substantial way the buttons are attached. However, they are very difficult to manipulate with gloves on. On future models, I would recommend the buttons be changed out to a hook and loop closure to enable being full use of the pockets with gloves on. Although the weather experienced here up to the date of this review hasn't merited the use of the hood, I can say that it is very substantial in weight and I anticipate it will be very useful when worn. Here, in the metro Denver area, the coyote portion of the hood is overkill (pun intended) but it does look great so I'll leave it on the coat. The quality of workmanship is top notch. As far as warmth is concerned, this is a warm coat!. The first time I wore this coat the temperature was 40 degrees and with only a regular shirt underneath, I was too warm after the first half of a 1 1/2 mile walk. I've decide this coat cannot be worn comfortably unless the temperature is below 40 degrees for the entire time I'll be outside. In temperatures below 40, the coat has been terrific. When wearing gloves, the cuffs of the gloves are easily accommodated under the sleeve. I believe that as the temperature drops with each coming day during the winter, I'll appreciate this coat even more.

Please note, this warranty is void if the inside garment tags are removed. For any damage not covered under the Warranty, Canada Goose may offer to repair the damage for a reasonable charge. If this is the case, it will be discussed with the consumer prior to any repairs being made.

How do I submit a Warranty/Service claim?
Visit and create an account or login. From there, click on the warranty and repairs icon where you'll be given details for next steps.

What does "Lifetime of the Product" mean?
Canada Goose products are fully warranted, to the original owner, for the practical lifetime of the product. The practical lifetime of the product is not equivalent to the lifetime of the owner.

What is "normal wear and tear"?
Canada Goose manufactures every product to meet their standards, but no matter how carefully you use and care for your Canada Goose product, nothing lasts forever. Gear used every day in the harshest conditions will degrade faster than someone who only wears their product once or twice per year. Eventually every product will begin to show signs of age and wear such as faded fabric or frayed cuffs, Canada Goose will take this into consideration when assessing your warranty request. It may be that your product has simply reached its practical lifetime and is time to be replaced.

What isn't covered under warranty?
When you're busy chasing adventure, Canada Goose recognizes that accidents can and do happen. Although not covered under warranty, tears, rips or other damage to your Canada Goose product can be serviced through their repairs department for a reasonable cost. Improper care or negligence, such as storing your product while wet, keeping it sealed in an airless environment, or not following the care instructions on the contents label inside your garment will result in damages that are not covered under warranty. If Canada Goose is unable to repair the product to working condition, you will be notified and other options may be given.

Do I need to clean my jacket before sending it in?
In order for Canada Goose to service your claim, your item must be cleaned before it arrives. This is for the protection of their staff and in accordance with Health and Safety Standards. Any product that arrives unclean will be subject to a cleaning fee of $25 - 45 CDN (depending on care instructions) before inspections can be made, which will also delay the processing of your claim. To learn how to properly clean your product, please visit their Product Care page.

Will tailoring or altering my Canada Goose product void the warranty?
Canada Goose will still provide warranty service to any un-altered area of the product. Please note that you should never remove the tags from inside the garment as it will void the warranty. Valuable information is located on these tags, which are needed to process your claim.

Does Canada Goose provide alterations?
Unfortunately, Canada Goose does not offer custom alterations or modifications at this time.

Will Canada Goose repair or replace my product?
If a Canada Goose product fails due to a manufacturing defect, they will repair the item at their expense. If the product is not repairable, or the cost of the repairs exceeds the value of the product, at their discretion, they may choose to replace the product instead.

I've got a question about my claim, who can I contact?
You can reach out to a Canada Goose Customer Experience Specialist to check on your claim via the online communication tool within the warranty section or via telephone at 1-888-276-6297.

How long will it take to get my product back?
Canada Goose aims to have your product back to you as quickly as possible so you can get back to exploring the great outdoors. The typical turn-around time is 30 business days from the time your product is received by them to the time they ship it back to you. Please keep in mind that fall/winter is the busiest season for warranty and repair service.

How much will it cost to get repairs done?
For any repairs covered by their Warranty Policy there is no charge to you. Non-warranty repair costs will vary, depending on the materials and length of time required. Once Canada Goose has received and assessed your product, you will be contacted regarding repair options and costs (if applicable).

Who handles shipping costs?
Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping items to Canada Goose, and Canada Goose will cover the return shipping costs. Please ensure that you ship the product using a carrier that can provide you with tracking information and proof of delivery.
