Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Camping Stove I replaced a liquid fuel stove with this. That old stove had cooked a lot of meals. It was quite finicky, this is plug and play. It actually is controllable, easy to start, (even in the rain), and works great. The canisters last longer than you think they would. So much easier than liquid, a little more $, but really worth the ease of use. I've had liquid fuel leak/spill. To be able to push the canister in and start this up is great. Unhook the canister, and you're ready to close it up and go. I think it works better, might be hotter, than propane stoves. Even if you have a big cook set up for car camping this is perfect for coffee or as a warm spot. Even just alone as a single cook spot this thing works great. It's not super light backpacking rated, but I've taken it on short overnight treks and loved it, (during stage 2 fire restriction). You're not going to fry a turkey, or can beans, but it will cook almost anything else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT stove for carrying on the motorcycle With friends together we all camp off our motorcycles ( motocamping). Everyone in our group carries one of these single burner stoves. together we alway's have at least 3 burners to prepare and cook many great meals. Being able to share fuel is important. The stove takes up very little room as do the fuel canisters. alway's lights first time with a very controllable flame. Mine was a new years gift from the group to get me in sync with the rest of the group. Looking forward to many a GREAT meal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use and portable This stove is great, easy to use and very portable. I was able to cook bacon and eggs on the lowest setting in no time. My only complaint is the carry case is not very sturdy. I am not sure if it would hold up well over time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid little stove My husband and I bought this stove to use for our week-long drive up to Alaska. We bought this stove because it's compact, doesn't require matches to ignite (works like a gas stove), and because the butane tank isn't big and bulky. In fact, it fits in a small compartment that opens up on top of the stove...no problems balancing the tank while cookin'. Really great burner, comes off the stove for easy cleaning, and it's pretty solid. Pretty great. ,,,,Probably not ideal for backpacking, 'cause it's a little big (TWSS), but works for the casual camper/tailgater/outdoor enthusiast. Gets the pseudo-Alaskan stamp of approval.

How safe is it to use indoors?

Asked by: Islandmarsh
Hey there Islandmarsh, good question! Any sort of cooking system like this that uses a gas canister would not be safe to use indoors. Remember to be very careful while using cooking systems! Hope this helps!

What are the dimensions of this stove? Do you insert a butane fuel canister or fill a built in tank from a butane canister? If inserted - what size does is take?

Asked by: Dave
Hiya Dave, thanks for your question! This stove measures 12.5 inches long, 14.5 inches wide and 3.75 inches high. It requires an 8 ounce butane canister (not included). Hope this helps!

Does it use batteries

Asked by: Jamie
Hey, Jamie! The ignition doesn't require batteries. It's a piezo based ignition. You release some gas and when you turn the knob to ignite, it pops a spark (you'll hear an audible click). It's a spring loaded system that doesn't require a power source (other than the power of your hand turning the knob) Hope that helps!!
