Rated 2 out of 5 by from Perfect Except for Terrible Cap Design I love the size and functionality of this pack. The propensity of the cap to cross thread and leak is, however, a major detractor. I have to gently tighten it two to three times every time I use it just to get the threads straight and keep it from leaking. I also have a 1.5 ltr. Hydrobak with the same issue. Even though these packs work wonderfully once sealed, this is absolutely the worst thread design in history. I cannot recommend any of these packs with a Crux bladder to anyone I know as a good or reliable product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect Great fit. 3 liters makes it versatile for longer rides while remaining lightweight. Great quality material. Zippers are on point. Lower straps are not needed when holding only 2 liters (great minimalistic feature) Ok, a few things that really makes it imperfect... The hose it too short when used on the right side. For example, when drinking water from the right side you can barely turn your head to the left. I solved this problem by moving the hose to the left side - Problem solved as I gained a couple more inches of hose length. Don't miss the magnet at all. The magnet is best suited for hiking not aggressive mountain biking. No need for it(to me it's just a marketing idea of luxury). Also, it would be nice for the magnet to be transferable to the other side for folks who will actually use it. How can this bag be perfect?? 1. A hose designed for use on both sides not only the right side. 2. Bring back the 90 degree angle on the hose tip (or at least closer to 90 degrees as I under stand it allows more liquid transfer) 45 degrees is too much and is more difficult to apply. That's it. Overall it's a very nice bag made of good quality and very nice color (yellow/lime/or whatever they call it) Can store much more than it appears to. Fits all necessities and extras for kids or whomever. Have not used the helmet mount yet. But looks pretty simple to use. Definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fast pack My first hydration pack and I've had it for about 6 months with plenty of use, so I've formed a pretty good opinion of it. The pack is the perfect size for up to half-day rides or hikes, carrying a few essentials and some food bars. The hydration bladder is easy to fill, use, and clean although the cleaning kit does make it a lot easier. The pack is very comfortable and easy to forget it's even there. The two gear pouches are small, but very usable and I can store an insulating layer into the pocket between them for cooler weather. The helmet clips are nice to have for off-bike excursions if you don't want to leave it behind. The only (small) issue I have is that I'm broad in the shoulders and chest, so the shoulder straps are let all the way out and it puts the magnetic hose clip right near my chin...would be nice if the shoulder straps were a little longer to move the drinking tube farther from my face when I'm not using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My second lobo, this one is a bit improved I'd say Ok, here's my review from memory of old style and new (2017) lobo camelbaks. The lower zipper pouch on the new one is better than the older lobo I had. This one has 2 zips, rather than 1 that goes all the way across as I recall. Same on top zipper pouch...2 zips is nice. Lower pouch holds more than it used to. Has 2 mesh pockets (better than the 3 small mesh pockets on old style) and one flat "sleeve" pocket behind that which is really good. (I put large gauze pads in here for first aid...they're already "sealed" but this will help keep them pretty clean too.) Upper (outer) zipper pocket zips a little more open than old style = good. The 2 strap closures on each side have a cleaner look than the old stretchy style. Straps are good, mesh back is good, bite valve ok...think I liked the old 90 degree one better ... this is about the same but kind of at the wrong angle. No big deal. Supposedly delivers larger volume of water per sip. Seems believable. Cons: I did like the way the OLD style with 2 separate zippers to access the reservoir allowed you to fully expose the fill cap on reservoir. This one, you kind of unzip but you can't really grab the plastic "horn" piece that extends below the cap...unless you take the whole reservoir out which I would never do except occasionally for cleaning. So when you fill it you're sort of cradling the whole pack and hoping faucet water hits the target rather than having a way to hold the fill opening close to the faucet. (On the plus side...the new cap is re-designed and easier to tighten than the old one.) Don't really get the whole magnet thing...I don't undo it there, I just grab valve and drink.

CamelBak Men's Packs

CamelBak backpacks are designed and built to fit an array of body types and sizes. Adjustable should straps make their backpacks suitable for a torso size range, and that info can be found in the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS. You can use the steps below to determine your torso size.

CamelBak hipbelts are adjustable to accommodate most any wearer.

1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
