The Black Diamond Women's Trail Pro Shock Trekking Poles are lightweight trekking poles for backpacking adventures. When the mountains are relentless, a little shock absorption for your hands is just the ticket for making a great trip even more awesome. Take some of the stress off your feet by using trekking poles, and the 4-stage Control Shock Technology dampens the rocky terrain at your wrists. The aluminum/carbon poles are incredibly lightweight and the foam grip wicks moisture to ensure your hand won't slip mid-hike. Double FlickLock® Pro ensure quick and easy adjustments, whether you're tucking them away for a hands-on scramble or just lengthening the height for a downhill section.

FEATURES of the Black Diamond Women's Trail Pro Shock Trekking Poles-Pair

  • Our lightweight, women’s-specific trekking pole with built-in shock absorbing technology and the simple security of FlickLock Pro.
  • FlickLock Pro is the evolution of the trusted FlickLock design. The benefits that made our classic FlickLock designthe best pole-locking mechanism on the market remain: it’s secure, fast and easy to use. The FlickLock Pro’slow-profile, stainless steel design, however, provides a dramatic improvement in quality, feel and clamping force.

If the product name has the word "pair" in it, that means it comes with TWO trekking poles. If the product name says "single" or has options to select a size, it means that particular style only comes with ONE trekking pole. Sorry to be so confusing. Please don't hate me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good poles for a moderate price I bought these for my mother who has trouble walking in National Parks, at Beaches, etc. where the terrain is not gently sloped concrete. These poles collapse and adjust easily. They are contoured to fit a women's hands unlike my personal Leki's. These poles are sturdy with no flex that I saw when or used them. The grip surfaces is very easy for someone with weak hand strength or arthritis to hold on to and they shake of rain drops and sand with little effort. The spring loaded tips also helped take away some the jolt to mom's shoulders, especially on stairs, and really enabled her to go places she won't otherwise be able to. In summary, these are very good poles that allow my mother to join me on the trail instead of sitting in a parking lot to watch my walk the beach, see a mountain lake, etc. If I didn't already have Leki's poles, I would buy set like this myself and probably will someday when I wear out my current poles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment I bought these trekking poles two years ago and they are still my favorite purchase. I've trekked hundreds of miles in the Sierra with these trusty poles. The shock absorption feature is a plus. Changing the length is simple and quick as is changing the tip and basket. Gave my friends a quick lesson and 5 of them bought the same poles. This year me and the black diamonds are conquering Mt Whitney.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Poles = Love them! I just finished using these backpacking through Zion NP and I loved them. These were my first poles I've had and I don't know why I waited so long. I actually got them because I knew I'd have some extra weight - it was our kids (3 and 5yrs old) multi-night backpacking trip. My daughter often wanted to try them and the locking system worked perfectly. Additionally, their ergonomics was ideal for me and I had no discomfort whether ascending, descending, or just trekking on flat ground. Definitely a great purchase. I've god bad knees and my wrists aren't the most solid either and these helped out tremendously. I making my husband get a pair next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Am I old? I first thought walking sticks for someone older. They were great hiking up to help with steps. It was a double workout for legs and arms. Then, coming down? Well, my knees were thankful. The next day, this old lady was ready to go!! No shame in these. Highly recommend. Why break your body when there are so many great places to hike and explore!!! Buy yourself this gift!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Poles These poles are very lightweight and collapse easily for storage. They are 2" shorter when collapsed than the last poles I had, so they fit nicely in luggage. They are sturdy and keep me steady.

I am interested in these trekking poles. I am a female and approximately 5'9. Will these be ok for my height or should I be looking at the mens versus the womans poles?

Asked by: Jill
Hey Jill, These poles extend to 49" at their longest, so it would depend on how long your arms are. These may work, but you can definitely take a look at some Men's poles as well if you feel that these will not be long enough.
