Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

The Black Diamond Torque Glove is a lightweight glove for ice and mixed climbing. Extreme grip and dexterity is paramount when working with ice axes, but the elements can definitely throw a wrench in the fun. The woven softshell fabric at the back of the hand is abrasion- and weather-resistant, plus there is compression-molded EVA padding for impact protection, 'cause you never know when you'll accidentally slam your fist into a hunk of ice or rock. Burly and functional!Used these this past winter skinning 2-3 days a week as an avy forecaster, skate skiing once a week, cold weather biking and some manual labor as well. They are still in great shape. The grip, dexterity and durability are top notch, love the big hole in the wrist band for getting them on. I didn't use them for ice climbing but I banged my knuckles plenty so i loved the padded outer knuckles. Favorite BD product yet!

Perfect Climbing GloveI've been really impressed with these gloves. Some of the reviews have suggested a lack of durability, especially when worn while belaying or repelling. I've not had issues with this. The gloves climb really well. The grip adds confidence, and the gloves are light and dextrous enough that placing screws and messing with gear is easy, and not as cumbersome as with most gloves. On days that aren't as cold, I've appreciated the extra friction while belaying, especially with wet/icy rope, which has reduced the strain on my hands and arms belaying a second up pitch after pitch. These gloves are not warm, but do cut the wind, and wick water while climbing. even on really cold days I;ve been happy climbing in these, and then switching to a heaver glove to belay.

Runs smallI bought a men's small which usually allows me to wear a very thin liner glove inside - however this glove fit so snugly that my hands are almost always cold. I cant imagine using them for ice tools! Apart from fit issues, the palm is very grippy so that's a plus.

fits the billgreat gloves. I bought these for mild weather ice climbing, and they are great, super precise, easy on the hands, no need to overgrip because you feel everything. Also great for driving.

Great for working with ropesThis is the second time I have purchased these gloves. I work as a glacier guide, and am required to wear gloves, since the ice has a tendency to cut up your hands, and bleeding is a bad look. I supplement these gloves by also wearing a thin merino glove on the inside, when it is cold. These are perfect for being able to tie knots and fiddle with carabiners. My first pair only lasted me about a year, since the ice screws constantly snag the thumb, and ended up ripping them to shreds. I will say, they are definitely not waterproof, when they get wet, that’s it. These are definitely the best gloves I have found for rope work.

Pretty goodI wore these gloves during a 3 day climb of the Grand Traverse of the Tetons, which is a pretty aggressive test of a pair of gloves.
They fit as expected and gave good sensitivity for climbing, allowing me to wear them for every pitch when it was cold. This was a big plus.
I would have liked for the palm and palm side of the fingers to be more durable. You need to be careful with these gloves during rappels to not incur significant wear, even on a single rappel. After ~20 rappels my gloves had sustained substantial wear, in one place all the way through the palm leather behind one of my knuckles. For the cost, I expected a bit more durability.
There is also a rather unfortunate seam in the tip of the thumb that continued to force itself between the flesh of each of my thumbs and my thumbnail, causing some minor discomfort and partial separation of the thumbnail by the third day I was wearing them continuously. It's not a deal breaker, but I wish that the seam was less substantial.
Overall a pretty good glove, great climbing sensitivity, with some minor drawbacks on durability and the thumb seam.

Good dexterityThese gloves have the good dexterity needed for steep ice pitches, allowing for easy gripping of the tools, placing screws, and clipping draws. Although these gloves have minimal (i.e. none) insulation, I find that your grip on the tools is lighter, allowing blood to flow t your fingers, keeping you hands warmer than expected. I've owned two pairs of these gloves and the durability has been excellent. I'd prefer it if there were color options other than green.

Great ice climbing glovesBought these a couple months ago for ice climbing in Ouray, and they did not disappoint. Sticky leather was great for gripping my tools. I swapped them out where ever I was belaying so as to not tear them up. Kept my hands warm while climbing, but I would switch them out when not climbing.
