Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snow slayer I picked up a pair of the 175 cm Route 105s for a week of backcountry skiing in Japan & they did not disappoint. I am used to traditional cambered skis with a small rocker tip, so it took a day or two to appreciate the more generous rocker found on these skis. The skis are fortunately not only spectacular in new snow, but the wood core gives a solid/damp feel on firm resort snow I encountered. While not as light as the Helios, I compensated by putting Dynafit Superlites and use Pomoco Pro S-Glide skins to keep the whole ensemble a very accommodating weight for the uphill. I look forward to many days of pleasure on these snow tools.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skied em - love em Wanted this ski as a one ski quiver for a long trip to Europe - for on and off piste - Have now had an opportunity to use in both conditions and they work very well. Using with the Vipec binding which I also love.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Ski, great weight I've had these skis out for multiple tours and a few days at the resort and they have been everything I wanted. They are light and versatile, tackling any conditions from thigh deep powder to steep, scoured slopes. They offer the weight of a carbon ski but without the chatter. With some tech bindings on top, they feel like the wings of hermes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing all around touring ski I bought this ski aa a partner for my carbon Megawatts. It is the only ski I have been on this year. I ski Teton Pass and GTNP on both hardpack and 2 feet of new and it is an amazing ski. It is a smooth turning ski that can accelerate at the drop of a hat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swiss army knife of BD skis Ive been touring on these skis for 6 months and feel that i have logged enough miles in different conditions to give them a review. My last pair of touring skis were BD zealots (possibly my most favourite pair of skis of all time) Not the fairest comparison given construction and weight differences, but my stand out impression, when comparing the two is how well the routes perform in a variety of conditions for their overall mass and i feel this is where they "realy punch above their weight" Not the lightest skis in the BD collection, but along way from being the heaviest with better performance and stability than a carbon ski, whilst being less taxing on the hip pocket. So far i have been impressed with their durability skiing late season corn with plenty of rocks and dirt mixed into the surface conditions skiing between snow patches. Lots of abuse getting thrown accross streams and over logs and fun stuff like that. Im a big fan of the 105mm waist catagory as i find this to be a go to class for western US skiing. Smooth and floaty and predictable in soft new snow with enough precision and control edging firmer surfaces that reminded me of classic blizzard feel. I felt as though they had limited performance in crud, chop and suncups, but this is where a metal const. Ski wins everytime. I found them responsive to turn shape variation skiing long, medium or short turns and equally responsive to speed variation, turning well at lower and higher speeds. I personally didnt notice any excessive tip chatter at speed, which seems to be a perhaps, unfair criticism with these planks? I found them to have excellent torsional stiffness for a ski of this weight. The top sheets are cleverly designed with a "coarse" feeling that sheds the build up of snow, making soft snow skinning more enjoyable. I would personaly have liked a slightly more up turned shovel on the noses to assist better with late season skiing through dips and ditches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Versatile Ski! This ski can handle just about any condition you can throw at it. Performs excellently in powder as one might expect with enough early rise to make even the deepest of days a blast! The ski can certainly handle crust and hardpack too but when you pick up speed you'll notice a little bit of tip chatter that will bring you slowing down. This ski is ideal for a turn oriented backcountry skier looking for a ski that can handle everything.
