Rated 5 out of 5 by from You'll use it more than you think This is the perfect little tool to always have on your ski pole to quickly get angle measurements on ski slopes and alpha angles for slide paths. Use this to make quick decisions for up-tracks to stay in "green light" terrain and identify just how steep that slope you are getting ready to ski really is. You can also use it for slope angle measurements in observations for test pits. I find the sun affects the thermometer. The whole unit will warm up in direct sunlight causing the temperature reading to be higher than ambient air temp. Seems accurate in the shade however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from useful! i picked this up on a lark, mostly because i don't love taking my phone out to check slope angle, nor do i like futzing around trying to dig out an analog inclinometer. this unit conveniently and securely clips to a ski pole, and there you go. a plus that i initially overlooked is the thermometer feature, which is super handy (i haven't tested accuracy but definitely have seen higher readings than actual temps in direct sunlight, ymmv). i like to refer to it when skiing with my daughter to reminder her "it's not that cold, honey" and that we should obviously take another lap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent excuse to breathe This is fun gizmo when you are switchbacking up that increasingly steep and narrowing ridge. You have an excuse to stop for a second and make the folks behind play guess the angle. Got to 49-50 last weekend :o
