Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super happy I used the speed 30 for 2 years guiding around 200 days a year and playing on most of the other days it was the best pack that I've ever had and I'm sure I will say the same about the mission 35 in two years I just needed a little bit more space

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit - extremely comfortable Guiding and carrying approximately 45lbs of gear isn't pleasurable without the right pack. I've climbed about 20 days in this pack so far and I won't consider using anything else. I'm 5'4 and it fits perfectly, the swing arms make it seem much lighter than it actually is because it's very balanced. Great compartments for gear and rope. The only thing I would change (and it isn't all that important) is having a sleeve for my H2O bladder's water tube to insulate it better and keep it more out of the way.

Does the BD Mission 35 have a wider and more padded hip belt than on the BD Speed 30, or is it the same? Also, are the shoulder straps a little more padded than on the BD Speed 30?

Asked by: TomS59
Hiya TomS59, thanks for your question! The Mission Pack has a bit more of a built up suspension system in general than the Speed Pack. The Mission has Swing Arm and suspension in the hipbelt so the pack moves with you a little more. The Speed is still adjustable in those areas, but they are fixed on the pack so don't move around. There is no difference with the padding but the webbing on the hip belt is bigger on the Mission, which would make it a little more comfortable. Hope this helps!
