Bought this jacket for a trip to Costa Rica during rainy season hiking. Great shell, super lightweight and packable. Kept me dry and not hot. Great for day to day use in florida as well. Love the color

Rated 4 out of 5 by from BD Stormline sulphur Love the sulphur color - very true to photos. Fit is nice for medium - 165lbs 5’9”. Waterproofing is good, but I’ve only tried in light rain. Nice weight for up to about 15 degrees Celsius - little clammy in warmer weather. Pit zips are fine. No inside pocket. Packing into pocket is easy and good. Overall I think it’s a pretty good jacket for the city. Will need to test on trail.

My fiancé loves it and I love mine! Highly recommend! Moosejaw was easy to work with and responded promptly when I asked for the status on my shipment. Would definitely order from them again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great performance, baggy fit Purchased 4 different rain jackets at once (Salomon Explore, Black Diamond StormLine, Outdoor Research Apollo, Mountain Hardwear Stretch Ozonic). I wanted something that would perform dual duty of repelling rain during biking / hiking, as well as look good as a basic jacket when commuting in the city. This jacket seems high quality but has a very loose / baggy fit. I'm 5'6" and went with size Small in all 4 jackets. Fabric feels very waterproof but not a lot of stretch. Probably great performance for heavy moisture, but too baggy to wear casually and without layers underneath.

This jacket gives me the flexibility with the stretch shell fabric and does not cause a hindrance when performing outdoor activities in the rain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Made for only light weight under garments Very nice product; however, the fit is very slim. I can wear it, but I'll never be able to wear much underneath. I'm 5'11" 193lb. and I bought a large. I think the arms on an XL would be to long as the the arm length is fine. I haven't had any experience yet in the rain. If your more on the skinny side this is a very nice product. Only deducted 1 star for the fit; however, I plan to buy a different rain jacket for hiking/backpacking or I could starve myself for a month.

Having trouble determining size, I am 5’9”, 178 lbs, 41.5” chest, stuck right between M & L, reviews split 1/2 saying runs tight, 1/2 say too loose. Pls advise what sz you recommend for me? Thank you

Hey there, thanks for your question. To be completely honest, all fit reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt. Everyone has different expectations for a fit and not every jacket is going to fit every human body perfectly. This particular piece is designed to fit comfortably over your clothes with additional room for a little bit of layering. Not a ton of big puffy layers, but a fleece or a sweater. If you're measuring at the top of one range and the bottom of another, the safer option would be to size up. If you were to get the smaller of the two, at best it's not going to have as much room for layering and will quickly limit how you can wear it. I hope this helps!
