The collapsible heal makes it great to slip in and out of or pack down flat for traveling and hooking to a harness to climbing with but would not use it for anything off the smallest incline as there is no heal support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Shoes to rock around town I absolutely love these shoes. I was looking for a pair that I could quickly slide on and off, and these are perfect for that. Nice grippy rubber on the bottom, and they hold up well in the mountains. I use these shoes more to walk around town, but also wear them to the mountains every weekend. I wouldn't wear them for any hikes or approaches, as I would prefer my approach boots, but they can be used in a pinch. Going to buy another pair soon for sure.
