Rated 2 out of 5 by from Weak overal performance At high speed it get deflected to easily. The low rise, make them vulneable for variable snow. The recomended center point (further back) is still to centered. I would recomend plus 2 from this point. Anyway a light ski, but luck of power on the downhill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great all round ski Every time i ski this i like it better. As some point out, the tip is very low cut and could be turned up just a bit but it works in all conditions. Have skied them in powder, firm, crust...they just work. Nice job design team.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light on the ups, fun turns heading down Bought these 2 months ago and ski in the pacific NW - both on piste and back country. In the area, they are great on groomers and break through crud on ungroomed areas. Turn easily - very responsive. Good dampening and no chatter, even in icier conditions. In backcountry, light weight a big plus for climbing. In deeper snow, they don't float quite as well as fatter skis - to be expected - but do just fine. An all around excellent ski and worthy for quiver of one - especially for someone like me who enjoys touring as well as turning, and doesn't seek out the steep and deep.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo climber! What a great lightweight ski, sharp edges, stiff just enough. The width is a good all around for the east coast crud/ice/wet snow. Good vibration dampening when heading down but of course this isn't a downhill ski but you can still carve once you get the hang of it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too flimsy and flat Not enough camber and too flimsy. I went with the 175cm at 5’9” and 155lbs. Should have gone longer and stiffer. Super light weight though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tip Rise I mounted these with the Dynafit TLT superlite 2.0 and was beyond happy with the ~7 lb setup. I'm 6'5 200 lbs and skied the 183 cm (which is closer 185 cm when held next to similar skis). They ski very well for their weight and overall I'm happy with the purchase. 2 things I noticed skiing them was that the tip rise is low causing me to be more conscious of obstacles (dense snow) in front of me in the skin track. Also I mounted them at the suggested mounting point (furthest back) and this caused the tip of the ski to be slightly heavier than the tail causing more skinning woes--I fell forward a couple times. I appreciate the super light tails but I'm wondering if the tip would float a little higher if I mounted them +1 or +2. Just food for thought for prospective buyers. On the whole, I think the skis are an amazing feet of engineering and really appreciate the doors these lightweight skis are opening for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great agressive lightweight ski. I have to say I was not sure of the design of those skis at first. I'm an agressive skier, who feels in control on stiff and stable skis. Most of lightweight skis are not stiff enough for me, so I normally use freeride style skis with tech binding. For a ski mountaineering trip, I borrowed the Helio 95 from a friend. The objective was to ski steep lines around Mt. Katahdin. We had all sorts of strange weather from freezing rain to deep snow (25cm + of snow). I have to say I was surprised at the first turn. The Helio 95 is stiff and responsive. You really feel the support of the skis all the way during the turn. Those skis can easily navigate through wind affected snow and icy conditions. It's not a deep snow ski, it's not the weapon of choice for the dump of the year, but it works well over fresh snow and soft spring corn. Skiing Mt. Katahdin mean you have to make a 17 miles approach (the main reason why I borrowed those skis...). But the Helio95 are light enough to make it almost enjoyable. It's real backcountry skis, but with the capacity to ski like a great alpine ski.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent for Touring. I have used the ski in varied conditions and found it extremely responsive, easy turning and easy on the legs. I found two issues with the skis. In dry powder, they are a dream, quick, responsive and stable. When there are damp conditions the skis easily get deflected. Secondly, I would like to see increase in tip rise there is no need to increased the camber. The current amount of tip rise causes the skis to submerge when trail braking and skiing in breakable crust. I hope the 2018-2018 model will have that feature.
