Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great for keeping everything organized. This pack is great for day-long ski tours up to day-long adventures where you will need a rope. When carrying a rope it is pretty tight but totally gets the job done. I love the over sized goggle pocket and the hip belt pocket for small quickly accessed items. There are also little nylon loops on the back side of the pack that work great for dragging a sled behind you. I don't no if that is what they were intended for but they feel solid and I can't think of any other use for them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! The right size for my needs. I bought this a month ago and had to rescue a ski that fell off the gondola at our Ski Area. I attached the ski to the pack and skinned out with it. The diagonal carry option was great as well as the helmet carry option for the skin up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyday work pack I use this pack everyday as a heli ski guide. The gear pocket for my probe, shovel and saw is perfect in size and accessibility. The pack is large enough for all my go to equipment with just the right amount of room to spare for an extra layer. Half the full time pros I work with use this pack. Right size for day trips or side country outings. Lightweight enough without sacrificing durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Light Weight Pack I moved to this pack from a slightly smaller 25L top-loader that actually weighed more than this one. All in all this is a comfortable fitting pack that carries skis well and does not have a bunch of loose stuff hanging off all the time - very streamlined in appearance and operation. The added capacity of the 32L is much appreciated when it comes to carrying extra layers, food and gear into the back-country. The helmet carry system is nice when getting into the gnar, and goes away when you are taking it easy. I have not tried to put an ava-lung in the pack yet, but thats pretty self explanatory I have yet to find something I dont like about the pack, the hydration bladder placement is a bit akward, but unavoidable given the format of the pack. -Back Panel loading is great: no more flinging stuff all over the place in high winds while digging around trying to find a granola bar. everything stays in its place and organized right in front of you. I can fit skins, a down jacket, thermos and extra hat in here with lots of room to spare. -Snow tool specific pocket is nice: probe and shovel are right there ready to go when you need them. super quick access and deployment, again no digging around / unbuckling / etc. shovel blade is positioned nicely at the back of the pack. -A-frame ski carry works well and is stable, I have not used the diagonal strap yet, but it tucks away nicely in its own tiny pocket. -Small top pocket works well for goggles, snacks, first aid kit, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pack! Have used now for several weeks, including a ski trip to BC. Feels a little smaller than rated but everything I need seems to fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet Backcountry Pack This is a sweet pack. It is light, streamlined and easy to get to the hear you need. I has plenty of room for full day tours or is small enough for shorter days and quick laps. I have had a bunch of different backcountry skiing specific packs and this is by far my favorite to date!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great pack - just be sure it fits you This pack ticks all the boxes on the list of must have features of a solid touring pack. That said, I could nit pick just about every one of those features, while at the same time acknowledging that most all of the shortcomings were likely intentional compromises to keep the weight to a minimum. Admittedly, weight savings, is the main reason that I bought this pack and so if weight savings trumps all, this pack hits the mark. I can overlook the nit picky things like: - impossibly small webbing loops for the helmet carrier (good luck with gloves on) - the lack of reverse-pull hip belt straps - somewhat undersized top pocket - small zipper pulls - hip belt pockets that cannot be completely zipped shut with one hand (seriously, this is just annoying) - A-frame ski carry that requires a bit of "strategery" to ensure that your ski edges don't rub your butt all the way up the hill (but hey, at least it has both A-frame and diagonal) All of these can be excused and overlooked in the name of weight savings, and I would have happily continued to use this as my go-to touring pack despite all of the above. I will especially miss the Avalung integration that you can only get on BD packs. However, the reason that it will be relegated to my resort and side-country pack, is that it is not comfortable to wear. This is somewhat due to fit, but also due to a fairly sub-par suspension system (or lack of one altogether). I am a 6'1" tall, broad shoulders and chest, long torsoed male. In the M/L torso length, this pack just does not have enough room for me. If your body shape/type is anything other than the typical 5'8", sub 185 lb, wirey moutaineer with a perfectly average length torso, you probably will want to try a few other packs before deciding that this is right for you. If that describes you... you cannot go wrong with the Dawn Patrol 32.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well thought out pack. This pack is great! Well done, intentional design. Love that it has so many options for attaching skis vs. board.
