Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply awesome I’ve been searching for a burly multi-purpose pack for years. This one finally fits the bill. The compartments are perfectly places and easily accessible for daily use. I can easily transform the pack into a gym bag, crag bag, carry on, etc. It’s super durable construction, great zippers and simplicity are exactly what I need in a pack. It also fits my laptop!!! The separate compartment for dirty clothes/gear is just the icing on top. Thanks for the bomber gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ulitmate Commuter Pack I have been commuting with this pack for the past 6 months and have thrown it through the ringer. I have a 5 mile commute to my office by bike and this has everything I need in it and more! It's made it through storms without having my gear getting soaked, has decent venting for hotter muggy mornings, doesn't smell from my blistering hot rides home. Reflective touches are nice with this being a black pack and my morning commute is in the dark. During winter it's big enough to pack everything I need to walk to my office from the gym building so I don't freeze. The separate bottom compartment is AMAZING. It can take up as much or as little of the main storage area since it is a flexible shield. I put my winter leather boots in there which is perfect for keeping shoes away from my slacks and button downs. I feel like Mary Poppins with the amount of stuff I take out of it once I get to my office. On a winter day, my pack holds: Pair of leather boots, slacks, blouse, undergarments, down puffy, lunch, coffee thermos, toiletry bag, phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, bike U lock, laptop, and gloves. And there's still room to cram more things in if I wanted to, I just normally don't since I want my clothes not wrinkled by the packing job. I've recommended this pack to all of my friends and others who are looking for a commuting cycling pack. The straps are perfect for keeping the pack snug to me so I am not off balance when riding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ultimate/everything bag that works! Had my eye on it for a while, bought it in time for the first outdoor session of the year and the day-to-day commute. pros: awesome. Holds everything, with snacks, clothes and general stuff. the bottom opening for the separated compartment could easily hold a harness, 2 pairs of climbing shoes, chalk bag and a dirty t-shirt. This feature isn’t explained enough, it's like a waterproof divider inside - so the more you feed it, you tak space from the main compartment. Making it very versatile depending on your needs. Great for commuting as well, especially for going climbing at the gym after work. Blends well in the city and does not make you look like you’re backpacking on the way to the office. Very comfortable even when fully loaded and heavy Cons: a little bit bulky. Removeable hipbelt is great but overall lacking webbing keepers, even some rubber loops would’ve been great (gonna add some myself) Super happy with it ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great carry-on or city commuter bag Bought it as a carry-on bag to pack gear/clothes for one week trips (running, bouldering, and casual clothes); travel-focused features such as passport and laptop pockets, and separate compartment for sweaty/wet clothes make this bag stand out. It is now my go-to for all short trips since I got it 3 months ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great commute bag! I had a few criteria for a commuter backpack: external side access laptop pocket and something that doesn’t feel like it will break when i stuff it with groceries. Both of these are a 100% with this. It feels sturdy m, sits comfortably and doesn’t look like I’m about to hit the Himialayas. It has the right amount of useful pockets without going overboard. I think the pricepoint is excellent, since my +200 usd ”rugged” cycling bag w/ ”lifetime” warranty broke down and was inferior to this in every aspect metioned above. There are things that take away the 5th star (more improvement suggestions than flaws): - interior color is black, a brighter color such as orange or yellow would help in the dark - i see the usefulness of the ”bottom bag”. I use it sparsely, so I would like a possibility to ”stow” it away when not needed. - i like it that the laptop sits between my back and the actual bag compartment. But the form of the bag against my back does feel a little flat. Sure, its firm and not sticking awkwardly anywhere and it even blocks the occasional milk carton (okay, beer cans) from drilling into the side of my spine. I am not asking for huge cushions, but i also think the flatness might become an issue in the summer ( if Finland should happen to get one this year). So not many complaints if any. I think this is a good bag if you cycle, but I don’t expect to ride very fast when this bag is fully loaded (i’m not a conditioned cyclist, to be clear), but my commute is not super long, so it’s not a problem. Bonus if you carry a lock: I’ve had the bag for a couple of months now, and only today I realized that my NY Kryptinite lock fits perfectly in the carry loop on the front side of the bag. A slimmer u lock might horizontally in the smaller utility loops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely daypack/twodaypack/threedaypack Got this pack a week ago. I live in a small city by the capital and travel by train between these to. Sometimes I am otside my home for up to three days. I carry my climbing equipment and laptop and some clothes and personal stuff with me all the time. I higly reccoment this pack for this "I carry it all the time" lifestyle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute best Search for the ideal “everything” bag is over. It’s well considered, not over complicated. Can stuff it full for travel with kids, head to the gym and use as a great carry on for quick getaways. It’s robust, durable and protects all my stuff. I prefer the 32 just for the capacity as my 22 bags usually don’t allow for anything more than a day jaunt. I’m 6foot, 205 and it definitely is the proper size for me. Not too big at all and can haul everything I need. Love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Minimalist, but incredibly functional I bought this pack after my 10 year old daypack finally gave up the ghost. I was looking for something to handle commuting to and from work/school, but that I could also load up and take the crag/gym/international adventure. So far this pack has lived up to the task! It has just the right number of pockets to keep things organized, but has a main compartment that swallows everything I can stuff in it! I love being able to remove the waist straps for everyday use. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is that if I have the lid loaded and the bag not fully loaded, the weight of the open lid causes the whole thing to collapse in on itself and tip over. It is a stellar pack, though, and will get the job done!

Does this qualify as a carry on item for most airlines?

Asked by: Thisismynickname
That's a great question! The TSA carry on size limit is 22 x 14 x 9 inches - which is 2772 cubic inches/ 45 liters. Since this Diamond Creek Transit Pack is 32 inches, it will def qualify. Hope this helps!
