Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Solid crag bagThis a solid crag bag. Comfortable for short approaches, solid design, and has everything you would expect for this type of pack. Tough, packs well, and handles being a bit wet.

Great pack, easily fits 60m rope, full standard trad rack or sport rack, two helmets, and some extras with no issues. Feels well balanced while hiking and construction is bombproof.

Excellent minus one flawI like this pack very much. It loads easily, carry's well, and it's well built. It has one major but relatively easily fixable flaw. The zipper that opens the pack from the side for access doesn't have a closure at the top which means the zipper has nothing keeping it from unzipping every time the top is opened. I found it unzipped not only when I opened the top flap but sometimes when scrambling through tight areas etc. I simply sewed a buckle at the top to keep the zipper from unzipping. The Stone 45 has a similar button closure at the top and it works great so I don't understand why the crag 40 doesn't have the same design. With the modification it is 5 stars. Without it, I found it frustrating re zipping my pack repeatedly.

Nice bag - could use small improvementslike the title mentions, this bag is great. It does everything I need it to and holds a good amount of gear (1 60m rope, 1 harness, 12 draws, a small rack, helmet and shoes)
Areas of improvement: Hook for shoes on the outside, more loops on the inside to organize gear, a zipper on the back for valuables!

Kind of like a lighter Creek packThis is a great cragging pack. Enough structure and volume to easily carry a rope, rack, harness and clothing. The two zippered pockets (one inside and one out) are sized well and safely contain glasses, wallet, phone and other accoutrements.

Solid crag bagI use this for trad cragging locally 1-2 days a week. I usually put two pairs of shoes and a double rack to #4s and 10 alpine draws in it plus my nalgene, food, extra layer, harness and helmet inside the pack and strap the rope on top. I couldn’t have picked a more perfect volume for my usage. It carries well but there are no load lifters and the hip belt sits too high on me (I’m 5’-11”). Super easy to use and I like the side zipper system. For the price I don’t think you can beat it. I’ve only been using it a short while but it seems pretty durable. Highly recommend as a crag bag.

Amazing crag pack and then some. This is my main crag pack. I was looking for a pack that was simplistic but had a couple pockets and this is it. Fits a full double rack, shoes, helmet, first aid, water snacks, etc etc. the rope strap on top is clutch. It does have hauling straps on top if that is needed. The full side zipper and top load gives great access. It’s a bomber deal and it comes with me on every climbing adventure. Totally worth it.

Solid bagFits everything for one day of TR/sport/trad as long as the rope is on top and I clip my helmet to the side. Would be nice if it had a bottle pouch but that’s personal preference - I prefer not storing any water with my gear. Comfy fit and distributes the lid well, and material is durable. My only commentary would be available spaces for clipping or storing not in the main compartment. But the brain at the top has a nice cover for securing a rope.
Would this bag be tough enough to be used as a haul bag on a multipitch? Or is there another bag that I would want?

Hey Matt98, great question! This actually should be the exact bag you are looking for, that 1260D Ballistic Nylon should help this bag stand up to pitch after pitch after pitch. I hope this helps!

Can I use this bag for hiking and backpacking ? Anyone with a expert recommendation?
Asked by: Ruboski
Hello Ruboski!
Thank you for reaching out. This bag can certainly be used for day-trips, and backpacking. It may be a little large for backpacking depending on what you plan on using it for, however it can certainly serve the purpose, and having too much room is certainly better than not having enough room. This will certainly hold your gear, but it isn't too bulky. It's also a great hiking pack as well. With this being said, it should be a useful pack for both backpacking and hiking. Hopefully this helps!
